“If there was a way out, don’t you think a lot of us would have left by now?”

“Maybe you just haven’t found it yet?”

“I’ve got more than one.” He glanced back at her with a quirked brow. “From prince charming to stalker. What got me that?”

“You have crazy eyes, that’s what. Has anyone ever told you that?” Ophelia looked around, avoiding the stranger’s gaze. “Why don’t we just walk in silence?”

“Wouldn’t be surprised if I did.“ He rolled his eyes before he began walking, figuring she would just follow if she was that hungry. “Trust me, I already have someone I’d much rather have my hands on.”

“It’s your only talent, after all.” Ophelia crossed her arms over her chest protectively, following him just because of her hunger. “Yeah, whatever, you say, Stalker.”

“If that’s easy to torture you I hope you get a saint for a master. Alright, c’mon. I’ve got food at my place.”

“Maybe you just have a knack for it. And yes, I am hoping for a saint for a master. Wow, how convenient. The master has food at his place, whatever, just keep your hands to yourself.” 

“My goal in life is complete. Say please and I’ll see what I can do.”

“Sadist. For God’s sake, now you’re just trying to torture me. Please.”

He lifted his shoulders in a shrug. “Basically. I wanted to sound more eloquent. Is that all you need to know, princess?”

“And make me cry more? Well shit, you’re succeeding. How about you tell me what I have to do to get you to bring me food?”

“I’m prince charming, obviously that makes you princess. Basically you do whatever a master says, you’re not allowed outside without supervision by a master, any luxury items can only be given my a master, and it’s a general common sense rule not mess with the guards. Your food is regulated so I’ve heard of pets getting punished for trying to take extra from the kitchen without permission. Get all that, princess?”

“Right, okay, prince charming. So, basically I have no freedom whatsoever? Can’t do anything without a master? You could’ve just shortened it and said that straight-up. I’m not allowed to do anything unless it’s pleasuring a master.”

“Not at all, princess. I appreciate honesty. Pleasure’s all mine.”

“Princess? Really? Gag. Go on then, what are the rules, pup?”

“I’m sure you would look beautiful on your knees but I’m not threatening you. You would know if I was. I’m Matthew by the way.”

“Charming, absolutely charming. Is it too forward of me to say I’d rather gouge my eyes out than be on my knees for you? Ophelia. A pleasure, I’m sure.”

“We have different definitions. No. I meant I could show you around and explain the rules. You’re scared but if you keep up the attitude it won’t take long for you to piss of the wrong person.”

“Yet mine’s the right one. Like a tour guide. You’re going to give me a tour of hell. Great, thanks. Wow, really? I had no idea. I’ll fix that straight away, allow me to get on my knees for you, Sir.”

“I’m about the furthest thing from a puppy. I can help you get adjusted. I can’t help you escape.”

“You’re the definition of a puppy. If by ‘adjusted’ you mean being someone’s little bitch, I’ll pass, thank-you.”

“I don’t think they will. You were kidnapped, I assume?” 

“Did you come here willingly?”

“And have you never tried to escape? To get out?”

“If that’s how you want to put it.”

“Whatever, if you’re just going to stand there like a wounded puppy your may as well go. I wanted help, not pity.”

“I’m not going to risk myself for a stranger. I’m not that type of person.”

“What? The good type of person?”

“You would be found. Then we would both have to face a punishment.”

“Not if you didn’t tell anyone. You could handle the punishment, I can’t handle being stuck in here.”

“I– No, sorry.”

“And why not? Surely it can’t be that hard. Unlock a door, open a window, please.”
