One of my best friends in the world is raising money for gender confirming surgery and it would mean the world to me if you guys could boost this and consider donating. Maia has been through SO much and is one of the kindest people I know. I know a lot of people are struggling financially so even just a share helps š

Hello I am an essential worker without hazard pay in a state where COVID-19 is surging, who continues to struggle financially. I also have an expensive dental procedure this month which is going to increase my bills substantially. I donāt know when the second stimulus bill will go through and if it does and I qualify and receive it sometime this month, I will withdraw my request for help. At the moment, however, there are a lot of unknown variables at play.
I also do genealogical commissions in which I do record research through ancestry.com. I am very thorough and have helped over a dozen if not 3 dozen people at this point for which said people can testify to my work. I charge $20 an hour which I think is a fair price for the work that I do. Comment and Iāll DM you more about it.
My goal is to get through the month is $1,100. I am so extremely grateful and appreciative for all the help I have received received in the past. Thank you all so muchš

Hey guys, OP helped me with doing genealogical research for my family and they uncovered some AMAZING information about my family, down to my great great great grandparents. They really helped me emotionally and helped me learn about my heritage, it was so transformative.
Please consider hiring them for genealogical research. They deserve the help and it will be an immensely rewarding experience.

"Hi, My name is Sonali. I'm 22years old. I am originally from Mumbai but now live in Delhi. I'm a pre- op transwoman. (My legal name is Afroz Khan).
I belong to a conservative Muslim family that does not support me at all. My parents kicked me out of the house when I was 18. It's been 4 years they haven't contacted me even once.
Since then I have been surviving by myself. I used to work in a call center but I was never able to save money for myself.
It's been 1 year since I started feeling more uncomfortable with my body. I always wanted to have my HRT and Surgeries but never had money.
Now in between lockdown I lost my job. As I stay alone it's really difficult for me to survive. I have been borrowing money from friends and am actively looking for a job. However I urgently need need funds to pay my rent, bills, get grocery etc.
I also need to raise money to begin the process for HRT which is extremely expensive.
Here is a breakdown of the funds I am trying to raise:
Rent: Rs.4000 X 3 = Rs.12000
Doctor Consultations: Rs. 3500
Paperwork/Certificates for starting HRT: Rs. 4000
HRT medications: Rs. 2500 X 6 = Rs.15000
Miscellaneous funds (to be used for groceries, blood tests, medical tests etc): Rs.15000
Therefore the total amount I am trying to raise is Rs.50000
These funds are for me to be able to begin the process of transitioning by getting HRT and also for me to survive for 3 more months during this pandemic, until I can get a new job."
Please donate if you can! And share!

okay not to be a downer but petitions wonāt do anything for lebanon, reading a carrd by a westerner who has literally no clue what is going on apart from what the western media has told them wonāt do anything for lebanon so itās better if you read what an actual lebanese person has to say (their views on current political parties do not reflect every person from lebanonās views, but at least it isnāt feeding into us imperialistic propaganda). signing petitions isnāt helping. please donate. this twitter thread explains why USD donations are important in this situation and provides links to many gofundmeās / other methods of donating. one of them leads to the Lebanese Red Cross app, and this explains in more detail on how you can donate. it isnāt a government organization, and according to people in the replies, the red cross is the best option and though the red cross in other countries have a bad reputation, this is apparently not associated with any other foundation. donating to individual people in lebanon might not work because their currency has been losing its value over the past couple months, so the best option is donate to organizations like Global Impact and the Red Cross, food banks, and gofundmes where the person will make sure the money is converted themselves (not through the website), also i would considering checking this account, they are part of an independently owned Lebanese media/news site and is actively updating their account / setting up new fundraisers and providing resources. make sure to check who you are donating to, you donāt have to donate to EVERYTHING you see but if you actually want to help, do not just sign petitions. donate to people or at least get others to donate if you currently donāt have the means to do so.

tonight marks the 3rd anniversary of the ezidi genocide. thousands of women, children and men were abducted, enslaved and/or executed. 420,000 ezidis were forced to flee. there are still more than 3,000 women and children in captivity. we will never forget.
tonight marks the 4th anniversary of the ezidi genocide which is still ongoing. thousands of ezidis remain in captivity and many of those children with no idea of who they are. over 350,000 ezidis remain in idp camps, their homeland is neither demined nor rebuilt.
let us not forget that 11,000 kurdish soldiers and their 200 commanders, who were supposed to defend the ezidis, ran away, and they even prevented ezidis from leaving their villages before running away. the kurdish regional government still continues to conceal the commandersā complicity in the ezidi genocide.
August 3rd is Ezidi genocide remembrance day. itās the 6th anniversary. Over 200,000 ezidis are still in IDP camps (where conditions are unsustainable) and thousands remain missing.

*please share* help queer afrolatina daca student pay for college
hey as some of u guys know earlier this month i got accepted to the school program i applied to back in february. i received my associate degree from a community college and now im transferring to a state school. i tried talking to different people at my universitys financial aid office about different options on how i could pay for tuition but because im a daca recipient i donāt qualify for any kind of financial aid/loans/grants/scholarships offered by my university so my only option is to pay for everything out of pocket. i was referred to some private scholarships that are specifically for daca students but their application cycle closed earlier in the year. i thought that i qualified for a transfer scholarship provided by my school for people with gpas of 3.8+ that would cover 50% to 75% of my tuition but after emailing the scholarship office they told me they cant give it to me because of my legal status. i also looked into loans but it asks for a cosigner with legal status and good credit score and i dont have anyone around me that could help me out.
i feel bad doing this because i know so many of us are struggling at the moment but i just dont know where else to turn and im doing this as a last resort. im allowed to do a payment plan in 3 installments and i have less than a month to pay for the first one which will be around $2,200. so far i have $250 saved up. ive made a gofundme

Queensdaughter publication date August 1, 2020
Hello all! I am so excited to reveal the cover art for Queensdaughter, and list the first official giveaway for my book! Queensdaughter is the first in the trilogy, and follows the story of Navette as the people of Varyn battle to reclaim their home as an ancient evil threatens to overtake the lands. The trees begin to whisper of danger, the dragons of old are little more than legends, and even queens have their secrets. Love and companionship are more valued than ever as Varyn begins to sink into darkness, but even after the darkest of nights, not all is lost.
Giveaway details: I will be sending out 5 free copies of Queensdaughter, with the winners paying for shipping. The book will be a hardcover, and will ship on August 1st. Reblogs and likes both count. Do not tag as giveaway. Winners are highly encouraged to leave Goodreads reviews! Giveaway ends on July 31, if I do not receive a response with a shipping address in 24 hours a new winner will be chosen. Thank you all for your time!

Update:
The publication date has been moved to August 15th. I sincerely apologize for this, however, self-publishing means hitting a few inevitable snags in the road along the way. (Iām lucky that it was only printing and a few technical errors.)Ā Everything is set up, but I am now at the mercy of my printer, which is incredibly backlogged at the moment. Iām really, truly hoping that I can get these books in my hands sooner than later, but in the meantime, Iāve had to push back the date. Because of this, Iām also extending the giveaway to August 10th. I appreciate your understanding with this book and the whole journey! Trust me; the wait for this is very much killing me, so I am doing all that is within my power to try to speed up the next round of printing. <3
