Interior: Unknown (November 9th 11:30 P.M.)
Rayne wasn't sure where she was. The place seemed unfamiliar and strange. Usually, things were dark and foreboding, but right now, for some reason, they were bright. Too bright.
Actually seeing where she was, what was there or even if she was alone was tricky. All she knew was that she couldn't open her eyes much. That is, until she suddenly felt the light start to dissipate.
Eventually, she felt like the light wasn't so bright, opened her eyes and saw...
Rayne wasn't sure what to think. "Am I imagining this?", Rayne said, as she noticed the figure in front of her. She was silent for a little while, before she said, "Why do you look like me?"
The figure didn't say anything, just watched Rayne.
"Who are you? Where did you come from?"
Again, the figure was silent (which more annoyed Rayne, than anything). "Why won't you answer me?!" Rayne called out, as she moved closer to the figure. Before she could reach it, though, it disappeared.
"What the..."
"As much as I'm glad to see you fighting back, I'm not the one you should be annoyed with."
Rayne turned to see where the voice was coming from and noticed the figure had reappeared. "What do you mean?"
The figure was silent for a little while, before saying, "Do you enjoy your new abilities, Rayne?"
"I'm not really sure. I haven't had a chance to..."
"figure it out?" the figure finished saying. The mysterious figure paused, then said, "Yes, I'm sure you haven't. There's a reason for that."
"Yes," Rayne said. She paused, then said, "How did you know what I was going to say?"
The figure was silent for a while, before saying, "Right now, that's not important. All you need to know is that you'll have an opportunity to escape soon. Take it."
Not too long after that was said, the bright light came back. It got brighter and brighter, and...
Rayne looks around her and notices she's alone. She also hears a strange, loud noise and covers her ears. She isn't sure what's going on, but doesn't like how loud the...alarm? is.
Rayne lays where she is for several minutes, unsure of what to do. She then remembers what she'd been told, about being able to escape, and gets up. She does her best to ignore the loud noise, as she focuses on the door, opens it, and runs out of the room (into the empty hall).
She isn't sure where to go, so she just runs down the hall in front of her. That is, until she hears voices and quick footsteps. When she does, she ducks into an open door (until she feels safe), then keeps going.
After running for a while, Rayne stops to catch her breath and notices the hall splits off. She looks to the right and to the left (several times), trying to figure out which way to go. When she hears footsteps, seemingly coming toward her, though, she just picks a direction and goes with it. She's able to run down the hall to the right, as well as halfway down the left fork of another hallway, before she hears, "There she is! Get her!"
Rayne can feel herself breathing hard, as she tries her best to move quicker. Unfortunately, though, she can feel herself getting slower the more she tries.
Eventually, she stops moving altogether (too tired to move any more) and tries to catch her breath. Before she can, though, she hears, "Don't worry. She's not going anywhere."
Rayne looks up and sees one of the creatures in front of her, smiling at her, before everything goes dark.
Transmission ended.
