In like 97 there was a very famous promo (wrestling lingo for "talking segment," or a segment where there is no actual wrestling; typically these exist to "promote" an upcoming match, hence, promo) where Vince McMahon, the real life (and on-screen) owner of the then-WWF came on screen and said, hey, this is all scripted, it's all a play, and as a result of everyone knowing this things will be a little different going forward. This kicked off the "Attitude era" and is a pretty famous bit.
I keep waiting for that to happen with Fox News. "Oh yeah this is fake, you all knew that, right?"

How do you edit your podcast without literally dying of the cognitive dissonance inherent in hearing recordings of your own voice. I just made my first video tutorial last night and listening to myself over and over was absolute torture.
it’s hard. It’s really hard. One thing that helps is I’ve learned to recognize what it looks like on the recording when I do this unfortunate lip popping sound that I’m trying so hard to stop!! Or a spike when Ben coughs/sniffs and no ones talking. I also make mental notes of exact things I want to cut from the recording as we record so I can skip around and find those parts. Otherwise it’s just finding my breaks, the 123, editing in the music and bam.

You have to record all the lines, twice at least because I double everything, then you have to listen to all the takes and find 2 of the best ones AND make sure they match
Then listen to it for months while moving sliders up and down slightly

Alright so Chipotle catering is like $800 for 60 people, which like...is sort of an option??? I have said that we need like 6 grand for this wedding. Keep in mind we don't have 6 grand, so I'm just spinning wheels trying to find ways to do what we want effectively. Pizza and wings is also like our backup option so I'd have to price some shit out
You guys deserve an update. The car we bought for $500 that immediately died lives again. My father put a whole new engine and everything in it. Just needs some small work over the next day or two and then it'll all be good. In the mean time, after MAGFest I'm hardcore going to start saving for a Real Adult Car made in the last 6 years. I'm going on full vinyl and toy blackout for the next few months. No synthesizers either. Supreme thank you to everyone who donated to the gofundme; that money is staying there until we get that money saved up. Things are looking better, and I'm ready to kick 2017 in the ass.

So last week Randi's car broke down. Today we paid $700 for another car that promptly shit the bed. I am at the end of my rope. We cannot keep doing this. Two adults in 2016 with jobs somehow cannot get affordable financing. No one fucking cares about us in the system so I am forced to turn to our friends. I know nobody has a lot of money and Magfest is coming up (don't know HOW we'll swing THAT at the moment, ugh) but if anyone can spare anything I would love you forever
So really like my number one big problem is money, right? Even temporarily. Furnace runs out of fuel? Gonna be three or four days until I get paid. Internet about to be shit off for being behind? I can make it four or five days without Game Grumps. But then it's like okay, I had enough to get the fuel. So the furnace fucks up and won't light. And I paid the Internet bill. So why haven't they turned it back on?
