It has a line which goes - What about the forests? Nope. So this is my version of the forests+panther saying nope. Also I know my styles are literally all over the place, my moods all over the place so art immediately gets affected by that. I find figuring out a style for me is really restricitve at this point or I’m just bad at decisions. Also since my last two themes were dark, I thought I’ll balance it out with this🤷‍♀️ . Was sitting with a decade (+) old ipad with @made_in_sketches which lags like anything since its hella old but works decently well for this:) Finger painted this on the Ipad because we’d lost the pen ages back 😹The lines turned out basic because I couldnt get any finer with my nails👐🏻 But i kind of wanted to keep it in this texture. Happy Friday Hiding at your your Dens👾 . . .

Brb. Crying. Holding these tears are hard when the rains pour and I try being uppity with my colourful umberellas☔️ The umberellas of positivity, productivity, happiness, mindfulness and satisfaction or freedom can’t protect you everyday can they? For some reason this reminded me of the song Raindrops keep falling on my head 🎧 💆🏽‍♀️ Rain sounds are so calming and you immediately get that petrichor smell of what you remember when you listen. For the Grater Good. Grateful for this. Welcome to the Grater Life. Sorry my puns are just goiing at it (hehe) We’re going through a huge hurdle ultimately to what I believe would be the ultimate place to be in - Simplicity, a little more care and a little more awareness of nature and maybe a few real measures ourselves towards sustainably living? In this particular image the hurdle happens to be a grater. The red waters are a representation of a sea of despair and uncertainty. That island is an island of a second chance. Just broke it down incase it doesn’t make sense. I tend to get carried away:P I know I still don’t get my human gestures right so had to explain it too😬 I wasn’t sure morbid works since I love it in general but I made the style tame so it doesn’t get all too aggressive. Oh and I didn’t want the waters to be so damn red but @sooozuri thought the water would be bloody red if you’re going through a grate, right? I’m sorry we’re clearly disturbed🤓 I lost it that day when the extension happened and I saw my dad walking in the terrace and thinking of all his troubles and pacing almost like a caged animal, chanting a weird chant - Go Cornona Go, repetitively. He was clearly getting overwhelmed and this went on for an hour I’d say. He got over it but somehow this concept came from there. Everyone’s under a lot of pressure right now. Whew.

Conceal and Reveal. Worked with a few new brushes,colours and tones. Mindless Rant - ‘Start concealing or covering up . Why are you being so revealing?’ Truly Revealing aspect - Women aren’t even safe at their own homes during the lockdown nor in hospitals where they’re quarantined. Humanity’s being questioned every single second. This is world wide. The rate at which Domestic Violence has increased in this current situation is just appalling. I don’t even know where to begin. Isn’t there enough to process? Also I’m not gonna be partial to women just because I happen to be one, but this can happen to anyone. Man, woman child.

Pigeon peace offerings in response to this much light🌟 Loved playing with the retro theme and elements related to that, it’s so much fun. We’re all kind of slowing down and going backwards anyway. History’s repeating itself isn’t it? Wanted to initially work with the song ‘Kabootar Ja’ ( I guess Corona in context ) but this song really fit in. I’ve always been a fan of this the song. Timings of the kabootars might be off but it was just a fun idea I wanted to try. Trying to get better at it. What’s an old hindi catchy song you like which gets stuck in your head? The hand held mirror and beautiful woman is an image reference from @saharayar. Love her boldly-retro inspired work, themes and colours.
