It's Just A Burning Memory

… and I’ll respond with  3  (or more)  interesting  plots / relationships / connections  I can think of for our muses!   There is  no pressure  for us to write any of them,   but it’s a great starting point for you to get a sense of how I think our muses might interact and what sorts of plots I’m most interested in happening between them  -  so don’t be shy!

I did see you just added Clayface recently and since the new movie is going to be more Horror-based I think I could have a few of my Horror girlies interact with him! The first one that comes to mind is Iris and Clayface. I'm not sure what the context would be yet but I still think it would be interesting! Or if you wanna do Clayface is in his full blown villain era I could always toss Buffy his way!

I think any of your Angel Hare muses interacting with Carrie could be really fun! And honestly, I think she would really benefit from their presence in her life lol.

But if he doesn't keep himself metered, they'll both fall apart. And neither of them need that. The threat of tears is already stinging the corners of his eyes; another slow breath as Pietro runs through his apology. (Another stark reminder in and of itself that this version of his boy is not the one he's used to; even to his own ear, it feels like he's speaking too slow. Not agonizing, just… slow. Focus.) There are a dozen things he wants to correct, to acknowledge, to reassure, but Pietro's pulling away from him before he has the chance to, and his heart momentarily sinks as they meet each other's gaze again.

Hearing those words echoed back to him makes his heart ache in a way that's almost unfamiliar to him. The threat of tears become more like a promise, suddenly, and damn if he doesn't opt to pull Pietro back into his arms before he can blink and risk having them run down his cheek. That has to count for something; maybe he's doing something right after all. He might not ever feel like enough, not really, but... he'll take that reassurance and hold onto it for those rainy days anyway.

When Magnus pulls him back into another a hug, Pietro returns it. There's been a lump in his throat this entire conversation (his tears make that obvious enough), and hearing Papa say that he's fortunate to have Pietro in his life, just as he is ...

His eyes dart down to the inhibitor bracelet.

"Thank you," Pietro says. "Thank you for saying that. I know it's - I don't know. I'm proud of myself, but sometimes I really, like, hate myself? And I don't understand why. But I'm gonna have to add that one, about you loving me as I am, to the list of things you say and do as a parent that I hold onto and repeat to myself when I don't feel well. ... You're a great dad, you know. I'm just as fortunate to have you. ... Things would've been so different, if ... "

Pietro's voice trails off. He's said it before.

At least Magnus will get to feel Pietro shift, slightly, and hear the inhibitor hitting the floor.

"Even with my speed off, I'm used to watching people's faces change. It's okay to cry, you know," he says, and his slowed speech is a stark contrast from how he's spoken the rest of the conversation - there's still a quickness to it, not hurried, just fast. "I mean, I'm crying. It's good to cry sometimes."
