I am currently in school and at work five days a week with insane amounts of homework on the weekends, so I don't have a whole lot of time for multiple blogs right now, unfortunately, but I miss Bucky, so this is what is easiest for the time being!

One  hundred  candles  would’ve  been  impossible.  Almost  as  impossible  as  living  to  a  hundred  felt  …  it  was  a  number  that  stretched  his  imagination,  one  he  couldn’t  wrap  his  mind  around,  because  it  felt  no  different  than  ninety - nine  …  hell,  it  felt  no  different  than  forty,  fifty,  sixty,  any  of  it.  𝚃𝚑𝚎   𝚢𝚎𝚊𝚛𝚜  𝚑𝚊𝚍  𝚜𝚕𝚒𝚙𝚙𝚎𝚍  𝚋𝚢  𝚠𝚒𝚝𝚑𝚘𝚞𝚝   𝚖𝚞𝚌𝚑   𝚘𝚏  𝚊  𝚝𝚛𝚊𝚌𝚎,  𝚊  𝚜𝚒𝚗𝚐𝚕𝚎  𝚌𝚊𝚗𝚍𝚕𝚎  𝚛𝚎𝚜𝚝𝚒𝚗𝚐  𝚒𝚗  𝚊  𝚗𝚎𝚜𝚝  𝚘𝚏  𝚌𝚞𝚙𝚌𝚊𝚔𝚎   𝚒𝚌𝚒𝚗𝚐  𝚛𝚎𝚙𝚛𝚎𝚜𝚎𝚗𝚝𝚊𝚝𝚒𝚟𝚎   𝚘𝚏  𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝   𝚜𝚒𝚖𝚙𝚕𝚎  𝚏𝚊𝚌𝚝.  He  wasn’t  supposed  to  be  standing  here  today,  but  dammit,  he’d  lived.  He  has  survived.  It  was  a  goddamn  miracle.  

“Guess  I  should’ve  included  food  when  I  said  no  gifts  …  ”  James  surmises  with  a  stilted  chuckle,  accepting  the  cupcake  nonetheless.  The  flame  danced  before  being  snuffed  out  with  a  ᴮᴸᴼᵂ  of  his  breath,  plucking  the  candle  out  of  the  thick  frosting  and  tossing  it  into  the  trash. 

Legs  crammed  beneath  the  low  kitchen  table,  his  knees  tapping  against  the  legs  as  he  shifts.  The  papers  strewn  across  the  surface  had  held  his  attention  prisoner  for  the  better  part  of  the  day  [  𝖶𝖮𝖱𝖪𝖨𝖭𝖦,  𝖶𝖮𝖱𝖪𝖨𝖭𝖦,  𝖶𝖮𝖱𝖪𝖨𝖭𝖦  ]  but  his  concentration  shattered  as  he  zeroed  in  on  her  words,  her  face,  her  touch  —--  𝚑𝚒𝚜  𝚊𝚛𝚖𝚜  𝚑𝚘𝚘𝚔  𝚊𝚛𝚘𝚞𝚗𝚍  𝚑𝚎𝚛   𝚖𝚒𝚍𝚜𝚎𝚌𝚝𝚒𝚘𝚗,  𝚛𝚎𝚜𝚝𝚒𝚗𝚐  𝚘𝚗  𝚑𝚎𝚛   𝚑𝚒𝚙𝚜   𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝   𝚊𝚌𝚝𝚎𝚍  𝚊𝚜  𝚊  𝚕𝚎𝚍𝚐𝚎   𝚏𝚘𝚛   𝚑𝚒𝚖  𝚝𝚘  𝚌𝚕𝚒𝚗𝚐   𝚝𝚘.  For  once,  his  head  tilts  back  to  fix  his  gaze  upwards  at  her,  a  tired  smile  caressing  his  lips.  It  was  time  for  a  break.  

He’d  been  more  or  less  awake  since  the  sun  had  begun  to  crack  through,  allowing  himself  the  gentle  comfort  of  remaining  indolent.  𝚃𝚞𝚌𝚔𝚎𝚍  𝚊𝚠𝚊𝚢  𝚋𝚎𝚗𝚎𝚊𝚝𝚑  𝚝𝚑𝚎  𝚌𝚘𝚟𝚎𝚛𝚜  𝚊𝚗𝚍  𝚗𝚎𝚜𝚝𝚕𝚎𝚍  𝚊𝚐𝚊𝚒𝚗𝚜𝚝  𝚝𝚑𝚎  𝚝𝚘𝚘   𝚜𝚘𝚏𝚝  𝚖𝚊𝚝𝚝𝚛𝚎𝚜𝚜   𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝  𝚌𝚛𝚊𝚍𝚕𝚎𝚍  𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚒𝚛  𝚋𝚘𝚍𝚒𝚎𝚜  𝚝𝚘𝚐𝚎𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚛.   As  Peter  shifted,  rousing  from  sleep  and  latching  himself  on  to  Bucky,  the  man  gravitated  towards  his  touch.  Lithe  fingers  [  𝖥𝖠𝖬𝖨𝖫𝖨𝖠𝖱𝖨𝖳𝖸,  𝖧𝖮𝖬𝖤  ]  slid  across  the  surface  of  his  chest,  touching  upon  every  contour,  every  scar,  with  effortless  precision  and  intention.  

“Reading  my  damn mind,  I  was  just  thinking  about  those  omelets  …  ”  His  voice  is  husky,  saturated  with  breathless  undertones  and  anticipation  the  further  that  ᴴᴬᴺᴰ  creeps  down.  What  a  way  to  start  the  day. 

The  sun  filtered  through  sheer  curtains,  casting  a  soft  glow  on  the  cat  curled up  across  the  width  of  his  thighs.  It  felt  like  any  other  day,  and  maybe  that’s  because  it  simply  was.  The  only  real  difference  was  the  occasional  text  or  call  that  ᴸᴵᵀ  ᵁᴾ  his  phone,  and  most  of  which  were  promptly  ignored.  𝚃𝚑𝚎  𝚗𝚎𝚠𝚜𝚌𝚊𝚜𝚝𝚎𝚛   𝚍𝚛𝚘𝚗𝚎𝚍  𝚘𝚗  𝚒𝚗  𝚝𝚑𝚎   𝚋𝚊𝚌𝚔𝚐𝚛𝚘𝚞𝚗𝚍,  𝚍𝚞𝚕𝚕  𝚊𝚗𝚍  𝚒𝚗𝚏𝚘𝚛𝚖𝚊𝚝𝚒𝚟𝚎  𝚠𝚒𝚝𝚑   𝚑𝚎𝚛   𝚋𝚛𝚒𝚐𝚑𝚝  𝚜𝚞𝚒𝚝  𝚊𝚗𝚍  𝚊𝚕𝚕  𝚝𝚘𝚘   𝚌𝚑𝚒𝚙𝚙𝚎𝚛  𝚜𝚖𝚒𝚕𝚎,  𝚊𝚗𝚍  𝚑𝚎  𝚝𝚑𝚘𝚞𝚐𝚑𝚝  𝚏𝚘𝚛  𝚊  𝚖𝚘𝚖𝚎𝚗𝚝  𝚝𝚑𝚊𝚝  𝚝𝚑𝚎𝚛𝚎  𝚠𝚊𝚜   𝚊   𝚌𝚑𝚊𝚗𝚌𝚎  𝚑𝚎  𝚌𝚘𝚞𝚕𝚍   𝚏𝚊𝚕𝚕  𝚊𝚜𝚕𝚎𝚎𝚙  𝚓𝚞𝚜𝚝  𝚕𝚒𝚔𝚎  𝚝𝚑𝚒𝚜.  The  persistent,  sharp  ring  of  the  phone  [  𝖠𝖦𝖠𝖨𝖭  ]  snaps  him  out  of  the  stupor,  James’s  gaze  darting  over  towards  the  Caller  ID.  The  unsaved  number  ran  across  the  screen,  the  familiar  string  of  digits  resulting  in  a  raise  of  his  eyebrow.  CJ.  His  fingers  stretch  across  the  sofa  cushion,  gripping  the  too  small  phone  in  his  palm  as  he  clicks  to  answer.  Not  even  a  word  in  edgewise  before  her  voice  fills  his  ear.  ( 𝖧𝖤  𝖨𝖲𝖭’𝖳  𝖢𝖮𝖬𝖯𝖫𝖠𝖨𝖭𝖨𝖭𝖦. )
