On a real note tho, I did this performance at my local show which encourages me to experiment with my performances. Why not, ya know? And I got the chance to perform a boylesque number in front of my burlesque teacher (the wonderful Fleur Du Mal) and she was thoroughly pleased with my performance. All I can ask for really.

Hey divas, so last night I performed in Diana B-Tease’s show “Belper’s 1st Drag Competition”. It was a hoot and a half and I’m going to guess that you tumblrinas will appreciate my outfits and acts. I ended up coming second, having to lipsync against the wonderful fucking gorge icon Frank Banks, and I couldn’t be more honoured to lose to anyone else.

I fucking love this song so much and as soon as my friend played it for me for the first time, I knew I had to perform this. This is just such a banger song to perform at any drag show bc I am given plenty of people to point to. Not to mention that I had my family front row for this one.

The coat for this look took 40 hours to bedazzle alone (and gave me a serious case of solvent poisoning-) and the paper pad took me about 4 hours to complete in total. I’m glad I managed to get these pictures from @/solcm15 on insta so I at least have some good pictures of this beast. Needless to say, I’ve changed how I bedazzle from now on.

So the con I went to was on Sunday so yes the cosplay was completed. Not exactly how I posted about but I liked what I had.

Here's the first few pictures I've gotten back so far but just look at me.

Overall: I liked the vibe and it was very clear what I was going for. Do I like the colours? No, they barely match. Do I wish I had time to do a harness situation with a better broach? Yeah absolutely, but this was made in a rush for a reason.

Honestly, I loved being Princess Skeletor. Even with my gripes with the costume, it was genuinely so fun and I felt so beautiful. Bonus as well is that bc I'm so bright and colourful, I could be seen IMMEDIATELY. There was no hiding for me, especially if I was in the back of anyone's shot (many apologies for any photos I ruined lol).

Now... The main problem I did have was... Heat.

It was 25°C in the English countryside... In a local convention that is totally outside. I have never felt such solidarity with as many cosplayers as I did that day. I bonded with a Boba Fett cosplayer and a wrestler that day for the sheer fact that we were all dying.

This was me as soon as I got out of the dress and the hood situation. Even though the only thing that was actually restricted was my hearing (lots of layers over my ears specifically, it wasn't that bad), once that hood came off, i felt like i could see again. It's like I could breathe and experience the world again. Insane.

I want to say a thank you tho to all the amazing photographers who went. They were so lovely and truly had the hardest task of trying to take pictures in a place of only sun.

There was also a cosplay competition and I may have won second in that too. I will TAKE second bc everyone in that competition had amazing costumes and put in so much work. Not to mention, we all had to stand in direct sunlight for 10 minutes straight... That was mean. But the third place winner had a beautiful dragon puppet and these gorgeous antlers. They looked so good in the sunlight. Absolutely awe-struck. And then the winner of the competition was an Alpha Five from Power Rangers cosplayer. I was already losing my mind at how perfect they were and then they did the "ay yay yay yay" and I'm pretty sure that's when they won. Fuck yeah, love to see it.

But yes, I'll hopefully be putting up a full post of some more photos of this look soon. All this crafting and wearing cool looks has made me so happy. I feel like I've come back home to myself again. I truly haven't made looks like this since the pandemic so... Ugh... It just feels good to be strange again.

So I'm on my first relisten of Dungeons and Daddies, all from episode one again. Obviously with fresh ears and knowing how it ends. It really inspires such a unique feeling of dread and just fear for these characters. Love it. However-

Episode 4: Lord of Chaos Pt.2

During the scuffle the dads have with the twins, they mix up the twins. Like.... Darryl is supposed to be holding Sparrow and he's supposed to have locked him in the cage of the tower. Lark was supposed to go up the escalator...

This is breaking my brain. Throughout the whole fight, they mix them up a lot of times but... I get how they happened of course, the twins didn't have their own personalities at this point. But the fact that this mistake ends up having monumental effects on the rest of the podcast.

All I can think about is what it would be like if Lark had the heart to heart with Henry... And if Sparrow instead got crushed in the tower.

I am back on my bullshit.

But let me take you down memory lane for me, bc by god do I love cosplaying as Skeletor. I started getting obsessed with He-Man during the pandemic (as you do) and ended up spending so long crafting, as best I could, some looks based on my faves. Skeletor was always my favourite to do tho. Like for me, he's such a fun character to inhabit.

Here's my very first try at the whole thing and look at how well that still stands up. God I had such good makeup skills... You love to see it. But since I got into this during the pandemic, I never had the chance (or money) to do a full look to a con. UNTIL NOW.

I'm going to a local con soon and I will be doing Princess Skeletor bc I was born to do drag since I love being uncomfortable. Since I accidentally got that purple ball gown, I'm gonna use that as the dress and then have a blue poofy shirt with this hood over the top. I will also be making his harness straps out of the cape fabric too. Frankly, I'm gonna keep making until I cant anymore.

Seriously tho, yesterday at my local pride was such a blast. I was absolutely hounded all day but in the best way. I was scared I wasn't gonna feel too comfortable in this costume but it ended up working out fine.

There are so many pictures on Facebook of me in the parade and I took so many pictures with many mothers. That's who I am.

I felt so gorge the whole day and I somehow lived the whole day.

I ended up being awake for 32 hours. Absolutely brutal. Ended up going to a drag show of course and perhaps the poppers kept me alive to get home good but lord, who can say.

I just want a hot pink prom dress to use for a Chappell Roan look. So I bought a hot pink prom dress. It was only like £17 woop woop love it. (I got it discounted by the store)

It's perfect, it looks great, I was planning things to add to it etc etc.

And then the dress came purple........

It's also completely not the dress I ordered so um..... Slay. Not a problem tho, I can just send it back to them and then get the right dress... But this also came in the biggest box ever and it was still stuffed in but hey. It's fine, I can make it work.

This just came. With no return address. It only says it's from depop. Dude i just want my dress please oh my god please can I just have my dress 😭

I did a makeup test of my Pride look and I am a fucking cutie! No one can tell me shit. If you ever need an ego boost, do Chappell Roan makeup. At least this works for me. I have never felt more gorgeous.

Here's my Glenn Close cosplay lol, I was having such a good time taking these stupid pics. I spent so much money so quickly.

I regret to inform everyone that doing a Glenn Close cosplay made me much hotter. I took all the gender in that moment and I wasn't even half in the look.

Here's my first (very lazy) scar try. I was gonna add more to it but I could not be bothered. I used rigid collodian with some lipstick under (defo gonna skip the colour next time since I just want scars).

I want it to be on the record as well that I did earnestly try to use my full black scelera lenses however... I will wear this look all day at a convention and I will drive in this look. I couldn't keep it in for more than 20 minutes. That's going to take further experimentation.

I felt the hair was very much lacking for him though, so I may have purchased and absolutely MAULED some hair extensions. He needed the slay.

I did have to do a very stupid Tik Tok bc I was too hot and I couldn't take existing like that. These are the moments I forget I am a man and that I can look very good as a man. My gender euphoria was through the roof. I had to take myself down a peg.
