yellowjackets :P

this show takes up most of my brain. i’m obsessed with shauna. jackieshauna is my favourite ship, i also dip my toes into other shauna pairs too (i read an amazing shat fic and i find butcherqueen really interesting). yellowjackets has such amazing and complex characters, and is gay and woke in nature, so yeah it was made for me.

right now my blog is mostly about yellowjackets but i’m into other stuff too. if you’re into fanfic my fav one for yj is ‘was it the boogeyman?’ by britishngay on ao3. on that note, if you need fic recommendations my ao3 is also onlineoutside. pretty much all my bookmarks are public lol. you can message me too of course.

TV shows/movies

yellowjackets is my fav ofc but i also like the walking dead (fav is daryl), paper girls (kj), house of the dragon (rhaenyra), the pitt (santos my goat), and arcane (vi). i’m rewatching she-ra right now and i’ve realised it’s my comfort show 😢. my fav is catra and if you think catradora are siblings DNI.

I also have a deep love for lesbian films so hmu with any recommendations you have. My favourites are love lies bleeding, but I'm a cheerleader, and portrait of a lady on fire.

i’m really into death stranding, red dead redemption, ghost of yōtei, the walking dead game, the last of us, life is strange, tomb raider, and lost records bloom and rage!

music

music-wise i guess i’ll do a dump of all the artists i like but my fav band is boygenius. i love all their songs but if i had to pick one it’d be cool about it, or salt in the wound.. or letter to and old poet… i can’t decide!

fav artists right now are big thief/adrianne lenker, ethel cain, bikini kill, clairo, mitski, MUNA, and lcd soundsystem, plus all of boygenius' solo stuff.

youtubers

i LOVE turtlewithhat they are my everything. plus jenn mcallister. those are my top 2 for sure. i also watch a lot of smosh, random commentary channels, and tasting history!

jackie was a bad friend.

shauna was jealous of jackie, not just attracted to her.

natalie and travis’ relationship is important to both of their characters.

lottie assaulted travis and was awful to jackie.

misty broke the black box/transponder for a reason. even if it wouldn’t have saved them like some people say, it was the intention behind it that’s important.

coach ben failed to be supportive of the girls. yes there is nuance here but still.

tai is not a good partner.

van, despite people thinking otherwise, was not nice in the wilderness.

melissa is a creepy stalker.

we know the tiniest little itsy bits about all their home lives and we sort of assume that they are all only children. i think the only characters we know have siblings are all dead sadly.

we saw that lot gets sent to a mental hospital, but what happened before then to make her own parents send her away? we know she loved a lonely life pre-crash so i wouldn’t be surprised if she isn’t close with them.

we know nat gets arrested but under what circumstances? how is her relationship with travis? her mother? she was desperate to get home but now she has lost her purpose.

speaking of travis… both his dad and little brother passed what will his moms reaction be? wow it could be so interesting!

tai! how does she mange college and being an alleged ladies woman? her determination and, i guess repression, has always intrigued me. does she have siblings? what are her parents like?? she (if it wasn’t Other Tai) didn’t want to be rescued in the first place partially because of homophobia, could her family also play a part in that?

van’s mom! what will her reaction be? what does van do with her life now? we hardly know anything. i’d LOVE a queer side plot where she really emerces herself in lesbian bars and stuff but that’s just me being self indulgent. there could be a very interesting plot with her and her mom too. how does van cope?

misty will probably be the least changed, she will preen under the attention. what are HER parents like???? she does give total only child energy and her house is HUGE. caligula?
