Serena just couldn’t hold herself back around Lucy, she just…didn’t know what it was. Some kind of allure? A fatal attraction? Or was she just obsessed? Either way, it was enough of an explanation for right now, where her hand was groping and playing with Lucy’s breast while she slept.

“Hey, I only fire when I know I’m going to hit what I’m aiming at. Trust me, you don’t mess with a gun like this.” She replies, a smile showing she’s just bantering back. “But fair. Keep me covered, alright? Signs point to this one being one of the nasty ones.”

“Pretty sure when you come from one of the many circles and sections of hell, being one of the nasty ones is par for the course.” Serena shifted her sword again, but smiled at the new ally as they started walking. “But you got it.”

“You know, it almost makes me wanna bust out some of my...skills and teach that ass a lesson, but you made me promise not to.” Of course, it was a subtle jab while still being a comment on what was going on. “You know, I remember being that young. Not that stupid, but that young.”

“Blood and choice. Trained by my uncle. Found I’m pretty good at it.” The expert way the blade is twirled is not lost on Arone, but her focus is drawn to her own blade as rune flash to life with an angry red glow. “Damn, he’s active. Hope he doesn’t know we’re here yet.”

She hears whispers in her mind and her sword seems to shake in her hand. “At a guess? He’s probably very aware.”

“Yeah, well, shit…” She huffs, reaching under her heavy coat and pulling out an honestly overly large pistol, like a modernized revolver scaled up. “So, I ain’t fighting you on hunting claims and such when he’s up and about. You want to go in first?”

“Blood and choice. Trained by my uncle. Found I’m pretty good at it.” The expert way the blade is twirled is not lost on Arone, but her focus is drawn to her own blade as rune flash to life with an angry red glow. “Damn, he’s active. Hope he doesn’t know we’re here yet.”

“…No, clearly not.” She replies slowly, a bit surprised by the appearance of the katana. “Don’t tell me you’re a hunter to.” She remarks as she reaches to her back, a scabbard appearing to allow her to pull her own, more European-style blade.

“By blood, but not by choice.” She brandished the blade and spun it expertly, arching her eyebrow at the other. “You?”

“I’m sorry, you what?”

“…I said I’m going in there and that I need you to stay back. What’s in there is goddam dangerous.”

“Okay, you’re clearly not from around here, then.” Serena muttered to herself for a moment, then a katana appeared in her right hand.
