Ask One Small Dream

Rules:

When sending an ask, address it to the character you want to ask. (i.e. “Dream, what do you . . .”)  Asks without a character specified will not be answered.

You can ask/talk to more than one character per ask! (i.e. “Hey Dream and Nightmare, what do  you . . .”)

You can ask pretty much anything, be it story/lore-wise or other. Just please be appropriette and respectful!

You can only ask/talk to those on the character list. (For example, you cannot ask Blue or Ink anything! at least for right now) 

You can “gift” any of the characters something either through ask or a submission!

All asks with be answered via text only. I will also try to answer questions at least once a week on this blog, if not more, depending on how much time and energy (or asks) I have. Please bear with me if it takes a while to get to your ask!

How do you guys spend time with Dream everyday? I bet Dream never misses a chance to see all of you

"Hahah, yeah, the little guy loves to play, that's for sure. He usually drags me to his room to play his made-up games or do a craft together. Which is fun, don't get me wrong, but glitter is hard to get out of fur, let me tell ya."

"I teach him the classic cards from time to time. Kid's poker face needs work, but he's pretty good at solitare."

"Lots of stuff . . . cook . . . clean . . . watch tv . . . nap."

"I work on training him once in a while. Sometimes I'll even let him help with my pranks, heh heh. One time we glued a bucket of chicken feathers to Night. It was epic"

"Didn't he force you and Dream to sit in the corner for hours?"

(Ps: Cal, go drink water.)

*Nightmare narrows his socket suspiciously*

"I don't see how this is any concern of yours-"

*Cal elbows him and coughs. Nightmare rolls his eyelight and sighs.*

"But, if you must know, I've not launched a large scale attack on an AU since I was (cough) ambushed by the stars and their fellow sans stooges. It's a bit . . . inconviencing to be away from Dream for that long. The boys still have their occasional missions, of course. I can't have the multiverse thinking I've gone into hiding or spreading some other nonesense."

Has there ever been a time when you had to read a bedtime story to pipsqueak (Dream)? I'm sure Cross or Nightmare or anyone would be pleased if you took their place for the night. If not, did you ever play pretend with him?

*Killer crosses his arms and turns his head, but the soft blush is still visible*

"Psh- what? 'A course not, whaddya think I am, his babysitter?"

*Cal slides up next to him*

"So you don't remember that time when Dream asked you to read to him and you said no, so he climbed into your bed beside you and begged you to read until you caved and-"

Do the Guys know exactly how Nightmare looked like as a kid (Passive Nightmare/Dream's age), to the point of they saw a picture of him as a kid they would immediately know who it was; or would they need some sort of clue (like Nightmare's crown or something) to have a good guess of who it is?

And what are Nightmare and the Guys cursing (both in front and not in front of Dream) styles?

"Nope! I think the only one with knowledge of how Night looked in the past was Ink, what with his meta knowledge of the multiverse. Although, they do have a bit of an idea now, thanks to Dream's "Nighty Doll".

And while the boys might not have talked much about it to his face, they've definitely discussed it with each other

"I try to watch my cursing when I'm around the little guy, like "heck" and "shoot". I don't want Nightmare to kill me, ya know, eh heh heh."

"Eh . . . don't curse much . . ."

"I only curse when it's funny. If the kid hears, he hears."

"Eugh, Night is such a stuck up about swearing in front of Squirt, but I don't care. What's he gonna do, wash my mouth with soap?"

...do you want any now...?

*Nightmare scoffs and cross his arms*

"One could argue I was already had four before care for my little brother, but in regards to specfially preadolecent children, then no. It's never been a desire of mine."

*He glances distantly to the side, a serious, yet tired expression.*

"And even if it were . . . I don't believe that's a posiblity for me anymore."

*He glances back up with a slight smirk.*

*give Dream a Sans hoodie because thats adorable*

"Ah, well . . ."

". . . there's certainly a lot! ^^; Don't worry tho, I am pacing myself so I don't burn out. And honestly, I am very grateful for this many asks! I know I'm pretty lucky to get this much attention and I'm happy to answer them, so fire away!"

"As for your second question, I do not actually. I'm not really a merch girl, and what little merch I do have is all commercial- OH!"

*Dream, wearing hoodie sleeves that are much too long, waves his little arms in the air, slapping my leg in his excitment*

"This is too big, but it's super ooper nice and soft!"

"Oh, well, I can adjust the size for you if you want."

"Mmm, no, I like it big! Watch what I can do!"

*Dream nods eagerly and proudly*

*Cross blushes slightly at being called that by someone other than Dream, but awkwardly laughes and replies.*

"Heh, yeah, I have. It's awesome, but my favorite is uh, fairytale actually, heh."

*Cal smiles brightly and waves*

"Hmmm...tea. It's such a pain to go and retireve."

"Hugs! Or- wait, maybe....maybe cookies. Hugs and cookies!"

"Mmm....minecraft. Or candy crush . . ."

This question is probably going to sound strange, but I’m curious: What would you do if the sun and moon in the sky just talked one day? Or turned into something like skeletons? How do you think you would react?

*Nightmare rolls his eyelight*

"I have seen many strange things in this multiverse over the centuries- that can't even compare. In fact, there's probably already an AU with a skeleton personification of the sun and moon. I'd wager a tentacle on it."

*Dream grabs one of said tentacles and excitedly hugs it.*

"Really? Can we go to it, Nighty? I wanna meet the sun and moon skeletons! Can we, can we?"

"No Dream, absolutely not."
