a family of jeez wanting to be haunted

From the season 5 finale and season 6 premiere, we know that Rick’s relationship with Morty seemed to heal Rick in some way or at least distract him from his revenge plot on Prime.

Oof the recent episode was a doozy in a GOOD way. While the jokes were kind of hit or miss, the episode as a whole was a lot of fun and honestly I couldn’t stop grinning throughout. The humor is right up my alley; self aware but also gleefully silly enough in its premise to not be grating

……..This might be my favorite episode this season. It was bordering on sitcom-y at first but I’m loving the dynamics between the family, especially between Morty, Summer, and Rick (who adorably became the pseudo middle child).

The part of Morty that is the most emotionally cognizant is the one that didn’t go with Rick, because they realized that they could survive and live happily (happier, even) without Rick’s validation. Basically, Morty had to sacrifice his emotional compass, in turn killing the part of himself that can navigate his feelings/thoughts and get to the core of what he needs, in order to stay in his grandfather’s life.
