Control. He still had some form of it thank god. Annie cautiously paced her slow steps back towards the cajun still concerned and alerted. But things took a better turn as her confidence was gained once again.

“I’m sorry, I didn’t mean ta startle ya petite. I just didn’t know who ta turn ta, ya know?” 

The Cajun replied, slowly holding his hands up and above his head in a defensive manner.

Annie stood there, body leaned numbly against the wall as he vanished from her sight. What now? He was gone…she was alone having to live with knowing that the one she loved the most was having to do this; but not for himself. She turned her body around, taking herself back to the room before collapsing on to the surface of the bed in a frustrated groan. “You’ll see him in the morning…hopefully.” In silence, she fell in to a sleep.

Remy awoke the next morning with a growl. The curtains opposite him over the large pair of french windows hadn’t been closed properly and now a large ray of sunlight had crept through and disturbed his sleep. Hardly the most pleasant of awakenings he had ever had. Rolling over in bed, he starred at the wall from across the room in an attempt to adjust his eyes once more from the blinding light from before.
