As a fan of both the comedic masterpiece by the Coen Brothers AND plush Labubus (and movie puns), I felt the need to create The Big LABUski, a plush homage to The Dude.

I chose a slightly larger, much softer plush to transform. His size is slightly larger than the standard 17cm type, measuring at 20 cm (7.75 in) from the top of his ears to his three clawed feet. His width is 13 cm (5 in) from paw to paw.

The Big LABUski wears a miniature version of The Dude’s iconic outfit from the movie poster:

1. 1974 Pendleton Weatherly Sweater.

(I found a tiny mirror image of the famous sweater pattern and sewed the sweater by hand.)

2. Groovy Patterned Pajama Pants.

3. Plum colored T-Shirt.

4. Brown Sandals.

5. Cool Aviator Sunglasses.

6. Ash Blond Wig (styled to resemble Jeff Bridges’ fabulous locks).

7. Ash Blond Mustache and Goatee.

Comes with the same putty used by owners of Ball Jointed Dolls to position BJD eyes. You can actually re-use the facial hair and sweater on a fashion doll, if you like! (Note that doll in the example photo is _not_ included.)

8. Tumbler of The Dude’s Favorite Beverage, a “White Russian” with “ice cubes.”

I found Mattel’s original face screening leaned a bit too much toward the “Disney Villain” style, so I painted her with a more contemplative yet amused expression.

I have also given her hands black enamel nail polish (with the vinyl sealed first).

Ms. Jett comes with:

I’ve enjoyed having her since 2009, but now it’s time for her to “perform” for a new person.

I reattached the snaps and reinforced the shoulder seam on the blouse. The original owner’s lost one shoe and replaced the 2nd shoe w/a white slingback heel, which I’ve included (not in photo). But I wanted the outfit to have appropriate-looking shoes, and so I added a pair of gold-colored heels with a design that echoes the bangle on her wrist.

I used late 1970s-early 1980s Barbie clothes (I made the shiny bolero jacket) to recreate the feel of the original outfit, and I used Mattel accessories and adapted other items to complete her beauty accessories kit.

This lovely 2005 “Festivals of the World” Pink Label Collector Barbie has never been played with. She has only been displayed within an acid free case, out of direct sunlight.

Her ornate hair and hair accessories have never been taken out of their original fastenings. She comes complete with three gold tone bracelets, doll stand, red high heels with real satin straps, and print and gold braid trim dress.

This gorgeous green lady has been kept out of direct sunlight (except for these photos) and kept in an acid-free storage box since I bought her in 2010 or 2011.

I’ve customized a 2024 RealFX Disney Stitch Puppetronic (from WOW!Stuff).

I’ve added a second Stitch soundbox (easily accessed at his back of head/neck Velcro opening), which also makes his body vibrate (similarly to a Tickle Me Elmo).

This RealFX Stitch says 2x as many zany things than the 2024 RealFX version, makes more random noises, jiggles now, AND has a much firmer body, making him into a full-body plush, rather than just a puppet.

—He no longer flops over, and he’s so much cuddlier now!
