as a survivor of knife violence (and a lot of other forms of violence), i can not fucking stand when creepypasta fans say "im an sa/incest/abuse survivor so everyone should stop writing about that stuff because it triggers me"
like okay man explain to me more how only your trauma is valid and how all media should be censored based on it. explain to me how everyone who likes art involving something bad you've experienced in real life is evil for "normalizing" it, but you can go around doing the same thing to other forms of violence that people have experienced irl and that's completely fine.
people who have gone through violence, survived fires, been tortured, been kidnapped, or experienced anything else that is commonly romanticized in horror/this fandom should be fucking MAD when these people yell and cry about their trauma entitling them to censor everyone else's art whilst clearly either not thinking that other people's trauma counts or not caring about it because it's not them.

BECAUSE YOUR BLORBOS ARE THEIR BLORBOS TOO. there is nothing you can do about that. and making a “call out post” against these people will just make you a bully who thinks harassing real people over thoughtcrimes and fictional characters is justified.
how people enjoy your blorbos and how they portray your blorbos in their fanfics, fan art, headcanons, edits are literally NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS.
the world does not revolve around you, and there will always be things that upset you. BUT the good news is that you literally don’t have to care or even acknowledge things that upset you at all. that’s what the block and mute buttons are for. you cannot control what other people do, even when it involves your blorbos, but you can curate your own internet experiences.
you can either be mad at strangers for the sake of fictional characters, or you can enjoy your fandom experience by focusing on the things YOU do enjoy.
