Hmmm, well, first off - thank you for asking! :’) It warms the cockles of my heart that you are conscientious enough to ask. Seriously. Imagine your doorbell just rang and a marvelous fruit basket was just delivered to you from me. <3

Now, then: What you actually asked, I can’t quite answer. :) You already acknowledged the single proviso I would have given you (realism), and you have to answer that for me, and you, and everyone. ;) Only you know if you can make your fellow and his ability make sense and be believable. Show us, and make us believe you! :D

If it helps, remember to give him (a) downside(s) equal to every advantage you grant him, and keep in mind that you will need permission from every writer/character he intends to influence/affect before you may have him do so. You cover those things, and I am all for whatever you have in mind and whatever you want to do!!

Oh, and be careful with how “several” abilities you string together. As long as they all logically follow, you’re good.

First, an apology: I said I’d answer in a week and I didn’t! :( please forgive me! I’ve been having a lot of trouble getting a hold of my staff. But mostly, haha, I’m in the middle of a rough fall semester right now and my workload got heavy when midterms came and went and now finals are coming up…

I knowww! And it’s not a lost cause or dead! It’s just taking a smidge longer than expected because of reasons I really should have foreseen better. ^^; (In fact, I’m wondering if the same reasons that dragged me to a halt did the same for my staff. If not, I’ll need to wrangle a new staff. ;P)

So I’m going to make an executive decision and say—

Omega will be opening on December 12!

How does that sound? :D Finals will be over for me by then and I can give my undivided attention to you little wonders. :>

See, anon, the thing is that we have been REALLY REALLY freakin close to opening for, like, days now. We just hit some unforeseen snags. And, you see, we’ve had an opening date planned since, like, uhum, the middle-ish of October, but we were waiting to announce it until it was closer, but theennnn we were just hanging onto it just in case we had to push it back.

Aha ha… ha… There’s always something.

But don’t worry your pretty little head!! We will be announcing the Omega opening date this week. :)

Send us an ask with your alias and whatever playby and/or ability you want reserved for you when we open, and we will compile a list lickety split! :)

Up to two faces or abilities may be reserved per alias.

And we call it an "ability reserve," but remember that, on Omega, alpha abilities are nonexclusive, and so they can be shared between multiple characters. (We will cap that number, though, to keep diversity alive.)

First come, first served!

We will disregard asks that do not include an alias!

These reserves will last for four days after opening day, and that's it! After that, Omega has a non-reserving policy, especially on abilities. So make sure you'll be around when opening day comes!! This will be your only chance to stake a claim!

Oh, dear. I was worried about that “physicality” bit when I put it in! ^^;

But, dude, don’t worry! Literally all we mean is little one-offs like “tall” or “waving his hands in front of him like he always did” or “her well-worn jacket” or “they checked the time on their pocketwatch”. You feel me?

You don’t have to go crazy on detail on any “section” of the app, really, and definitely not with physical appearance, either. :) All we’re saying is don’t forget to give your character a body to go with their face. ;) A soul to go with their story.

The Omega preview we've all been waiting for: THE APP!!!

Holy crap, are you as excited as we are?! We are so close to wrapping up and slapping a bow on the site and stringing out a ribbon to cut!

And, two more exciting things:

A reminder: If you start getting eager about a character for Omega and want to post about them, do it! Tag that gloriousness with #omegarp so we can all revel. Plus, we'll reblog character inspiration/images right here on the rp blog, too!

We listed them off to you last week, but here they are as an official preview: THE MEMBERGROUPS.

We are not going to impose a character limit. ;) We trust that you guys will/do know your own limits.

(But if not, we are providing measures to help character whores like myself let off some character-creation-steam. ;P Namely the option to submit character concepts to the Adoptables thread, as a sort of idea-bank for potential members. :D Yaaay, options!)

As for the application, we are going freestyle, for sure. :) But, of course, as is the nature of freestyle, one can easily convert it to a “traditional”, interview-style, or whatever-type-of app one’s preference demands. :)

Thank you for your concern, and your suggestions in this matter. :) Here are our determinations for how we will organize:

We will be archiving accepted apps alphabetically, all together.

All claim lists are gender neutral and alphabetical, as well.

The “want ad” forum will be divided by relationship type for easier browsing by potential fill-ers.

The character “shipping/plotting” forum will be divided by membergroup.
