"Yeah, the other sports people don't seem to get as crazy." That much he noticed about people. Every sports genre had their own fan clubs, but something about football seemed to overshadow the rest of it. "Yeah," he nodded his head once more. "It is unmatched." He liked the word that Griffin used, having to repeat it. "Hopefully we get the win that we want." He looked back to the television screen above the bar, "Cheers," Omar held out his beer, ready to clink it against Griffin's. @griffinxreed

"It's always funny how life has a way of humbling us and making us realize that we don't always have it together." Josiah stated, nodding his head almost in sympathy. He was no stranger to the curve balls that life threw at him; he'd had his fair share of them, though he'd felt he'd always handled them as gracefully as he could. "It's not for the faint of heart." he admitted. "I love my job, but I know it's not the easiest thing. And it's not for everyone." he stated. "But in that same breath I would've made a terrible professional athlete." he laughed. "It seems that in the end though, it worked out for you." @omarxmorrison

"It does have a way of doin' that, doesn't it?" Omar agreed with a quiet laugh. It was something that most people didn't consider, he knew that. Or maybe it was something they didn't want to consider because it meant owning up to one's mistakes in life. "Every job has it's parts that aren't easy for everyone." He let out another laugh, shaking his head. "It's definitely not the easiest thing in the world and I was built to be an athlete. Trained for most of my life for it and it still kicked my ass." But, Omar was grateful for where he had ended up in life. "How're things outside of work? We can't be those people, yet, where that's all we talk about." @josiahhuddington

"Baby, if you start going crazy, I don't know if I will stop you. I will let you do your thing and stay out of the way." He beamed at her, knowing that it was something that he loved about her at the end of the day. "Pot lids, close but not quite what we need." Omar laughed softly, "C'mon, let's keep looking. They've got to be around here some where." Omar grabbed another box to open up. @sawyervaughn

"I get that," he nodded his head. "It can be hard to take the first step but you did that so that has to count for something. Even if for some reason you go and bail on it." He told Eddie, "I think just the act of signing up is going to mean more to you in the long run than if you go through with it or not, you know? You made a conscious decision. Plus," he grinned at the man, giving him a clap on the shoulder. "Anyone who lands you for speed dating is landing a catch." @eddiexcastro

"It would definitely be a way easier job for me than the one I currently have." he joked. Though, realized in the moment that he sounded liked he was being mean. "I - sorry. I don't mean to sound like your job is less important." And now he just sounded like he was talking himself into a whole. "I just know my family, my girlfriend and my friends would probably prefer if I were a tattoo artist and not Chief of Police." he laughed. Yet as the other admitted that he never thought it would be something he got into, Josiah nodded. "So, I take it this wasn't your first job choice than?" he questioned. "What did you want to do? Or better yet what was your plan?" he paused, though let the conversation naturally linger. "I will say based on what I can see now you're very talented." he nodded. "Definitely the makings of a good career before you even realized it." @omarxmorrison

"Nah, I get it." Omar said with a shake of his head. As a football player, things said about him had been far worse. Plus, it was obvious that Josiah had not meant anything by it. "I can't imagine being Chief of Police, so I get where you are coming from." His lips parted with a quiet huff of laughter. "I mean, football was always the dream. The dream came true and then?" His shoulders lifted into a shrug as he trailed off. "I honestly hadn't thought of what to do after that. I hadn't even planned on retiring when I did but my mom died and I felt a little lost." @josiahhuddington

"I swear Philly fans are built differently than everyone else." He joked, shaking his head. "They've got this whole idea to treats sports like an entire personality and a blood oath at the same time." He teased, though he was more amused rather than judgmental. "Rivalry games are always better when people are emotionally unwell about them though, so I can respect it." Omar's gaze flickered toward the screen for a moment before turning back to Griffin. "Duke is definitely a safe bet. I feel like people either love them or hate them." @griffinxreed

Omar laughed softly with her words. "Yeah, I have a feeling I'm going to wake up in the middle of the night and you are going to be rummaging through the boxes like a raccoon or something trying to get it all out and organized before I wake up." He teased his girlfriend, a smile pulling the corners of his lips upward. "Yeah, perhaps we should have done a bit more than just putting kitchen on them all, huh?" Hindsight was something to think about. "Plates are important," he said with a nod of his head, "maybe just glasses next," he opened up a box by him, but it was the Tupperware. "Well, I guess if we have pizza leftovers we don't have to use the box." @sawyervaughn

"I look forward to seeing your name on my books, honestly." Omar loved to make works of art for other people. It was why he loved tattooing so much. He could take an idea that someone had, take the feeling that they had if it was something meaningful and make it into something they wanted on their body forever. It didn't seem to get better than that. "I don't know about soon," he said with a shake of his head, "but yeah, some day." Omar knew that they had already rushed things to a degree by buying a house, but it had also made a lot of sense for the two of them. "What about you? Any dates on the horizon? You sign up for speed dating?" @eddiexcastro

"Yeah that's usually the case. My siblings and I used to tease my mom not to let her kitchen gadgets show her who's boss. Which only worked until the next time she needed something like coffee." he shrugged. "There's a reason my dad is the one that does most of the stuff in the kitchen." A trait Josiah inherited from his father; while work kept him busy and on the road a lot when given the chance there was nothing he enjoyed more than standing in the kitchen cooking a meal for himself, Calliope or anyone he was hosting. "I always wanted to get into drawing but I couldn't." he shook his head. "As hard as I tried even my hand writing is completely illegible." he exhaled. "That's why I'm happy that most of our work is done electronically." He was sure Sheriff Peterson was too. "There are." he nodded. "But I think Mayor Claremont decided to leave them; something about boosting morale? Truthfully I don't know; I haven't been paying enough attention. Just doing what I need to do to get through the days sometimes." @omarxmorrison

Omar chuckled, "Yeah, I think a lot of people want to be artists, want to draw and be creative in that way, but it's not for everyone. Honestly, I never expected it to be something that I took to." He had got into it, originally, as a way to deal with the loss of his father growing up. "I wasn't as good as I am now back then. I learned pretty quickly with techniques but looking back, I never would have expected to get here." Hell, he never expected to retire from playing football and become a tattoo artist, but there he was. "I understand," Omar said with a nod of his head. There seemed to be something heavier weighing behind the man's words, but Omar wasn't one to pry. "Sometimes that's all we can do in life and it's gotta work." @josiahhuddington

"Isn't that just the most perfect question?" He rubbed a hand against the back of his neck. "We don't want to open everything all at once. I think that will get overwhelming fast." And in hindsight, Omar wished he had put a little more thought into his own labeling. But, they weren't moving all that far. "Do you remember what box was packed last for the kitchen? That's got to be where all of our essentials are since we wouldn't have wanted to pack them up too early." @sawyervaughn

"Nah, no worries. I know a lot of those guys." It hadn't been something that Omar ever understood. He didn't hate the money, not for a minute. But he had always thought that the industry overpaid for what it was. Even trickling down into college students, who should not being paid what they were. "Duke's looking good this year but I've been betting on Michigan if I'm being honest. Even if we were technically rivals when I was going to school in Ohio." He thrived on a good rivalry, but now that he was done playing, it was of less importance to him. @griffinxreed

Omar nodded his head, "Feel free, just let me know." While his schedule wasn't always booked, Omar often took time to stretch his creative muscles and wasn't cooped up in the local tattoo shop. "Will do," he said with a nod of his head. That was the thing about knowing others that worked at local establishments in Kismet Harbor. There was a level of give and take between them all, always wanting to give back to each other at the community level. "Emerald Mist," he told him, answering the question. "We looked for a few months at the beginning of the year and this one went on the market. I knew the moment we walked in but you can't say that. Gives people too much negotiation power." @eddiexcastro

Omar leaned back on his heels with her question. "I'm thinking pizza, honestly." He suggested to Sawyer based on her two options. Of the two, pizza would be a hell of a lot easier to eat without all of their kitchenware out. "I think that we can get away with not even needing plates for. And what kind of basic way to celebrate our beautiful new house," Omar's lips were curling upward, beaming at his girlfriend. "I think we deserve greasy, topping filled pizza to start off the first night in the house. Maybe we can open up the bottle of wine that was left for us in the welcome basket, too." @sawyervaughn
