“Thats true, I haven’t seen many that worked out really.” But hopefully Lorcan and her would be a different story.

“Maybe it’ll be different with you two. Anyway, excited for our new uni? And is Lorcan going too?”

“I can only imagine how much work the professors here will assign us.”

“Probably a boatload..I’m not looking forward to that.”

“Yeah, its kind of crazy we ended up together huh? It’s the old opposites attract I guess?”

“Yeah who knew those that happened in reality.”

“So it is that noticeable.” Oh well, she could change that eventually. “But I am, for what it means, not because I love the smell of tea or anything,” she laughed, though it wasn’t that bad really. 

“That’s what I meant of course. You and that other boy. Who knew that would happen?”

“And another summer has come and gone. First day of classes at the university. This should be fun.”

“I’m a bit excited. Though I’m sure I won’t be after the work they’ll assign.”

“All moved into the new apartment…of course it smells like tea now, but I actually don’t mind.”

“It definitely does. Also I know that smile. You’re very happy it smells like tea.”

Artemis smiled, looking over at her family. “Thanks, they did all turn out quite nicely. So where are your four?”

“Three.” He corrected before pointing over at them. “Elise, Connor, and Nora are with their mothe-Oh Nora is coming my way.” He grinned picking her up. “You’ve met Auntie Artemis?”

“I’m just glad I don’t have to stay at home. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not that I don’t love my kids. It’s just that every time they break some Fine China, my heart breaks too. Well, Lorcan doesnt have any Fine China. Just a closet filled of ugly shoes.”

He couldn’t help but laugh at her situation. “Right. You’d hate to have my kids over then. Yeah, he does. Though it’s not his kids that often break stuff but his clumsy self. But this you knew.”

In a flurry of hands and clothes, Sloane pushed his shirt and dress coat off then huffed at him in mock annoyance. “I’ve learned to manage our time wisely since the kids came along. And most of the time, there is no time.”

The chill air of the night had gently stung his now-bare torso. Now aware of the situation, he gave a nod. “Right..They can even come looking for us and even ruin this..No time to waste.”

Sloane let out a groan. “I thought we were past the teasing stage,” she said, her hands working to unbutton his shirt.

Clark had smiled into the kiss, nodding to her, his arms lifting her whole dress off of her. “Just to hear you squirm. Your impatience to this sort of thing makes me happy.”

Sloane bobbed her head from side to side. “Should we? Probably.. But will we?” She scrunched her nose and shook her head. “I don’t think so.”

A slight smirk befell him before pressing against her lips, hands continuing to trail up her dress, only to break way for a moment. “We never do.”
