“ I for one don’t need any more reasons to stop in. ” He’d know that voice anywhere - and it never fails to bring a smile to his face. Laurent turns, in his own hand a bag of sweets that he’d claim were for Bea’s children, though truth be told they were just as much for him. “ And you, little one, will rot your teeth. ” His tone changes as he lowers himself to Evangeline’s level. A whisper on his lips to match the mischief in her eyes as he taps the small girl gently on the nose, “ as many sweets as you’d like from uncle Laurie today, go on now and choose, petite fluer. But not too far. ” Rising again to turn his attentions towards his friend, he leans in, pressing a kiss to her cheek in greeting. “ The uniforms might suit you. ”

The grin on her lips was instant. “Sure you do,” she countered, taking a step toward him. “You don’t come see me enough,” she teased, eyebrows raising slightly before she tore her eyes away to look at her daughter. Their daughter. She scrunched up her nose and nodded. “He’s right, you know. Too much candy can do that... if you don’t brush and floss twice a day.” Laurent knelt down next to Evangeline and Olivia’s heart skipped a beat but she ignored it. Uncle Laurie. Yikes. She smashed her lips to the side at that, but smiled brightly as he kissed her cheek. “Yeah? Maybe I should do it then... for the uniform.”
