I am finally ready to share this news with you all. It’s not something I talk about every day, but did you know that I started my own business when I was 22 years old? I hired over thirty people and taught thousands of students for over six years. I wrote training manuals, built the website, organized twelve huge recitals with hundreds in attendance, scrubbed the toilets, mopped the floors, and stayed at the facility until 2am almost every night for the first year and a half that it was open. My years owning Musique were truly some of the greatest years of my life. Although I was the one teaching the students and training the staff, it was them who taught me the most. They taught me so much about people, about myself, and about the power of music. This is why I had to make the very difficult decision to sell the company which I have literally and figuratively poured my blood, sweat, and tears into in order to pursue my career as an artist full-time. Thank you to everyone I have had the pleasure to work with and teach for over six years. I appreciate every single one of you, and truly hope that all of you reach your fullest potential because I know that you can. In November 2017, I sold 100% of Musique, the music business that I owned since July 2011. It was not easy to let go of my company, but I took a lot of time to ensure that Musique is in good hands. The current owner has a special connection with the staff and students, and I know that they will take excellent care of you. Once more, I would like to express my gratitude to the staff, students, and everyone who supported me throughout the years I owned Musique. It takes a solid team to run a business for over six years, and I’m so lucky to have had all of you in my life during that time. Thank you.
