got out of closing a long ass shift at 1 am to see that my car had been booted 20 minutes earlier, then spent an hour trying to pay it online, only to realize that it wouldnt let me and I’d have to pay in person, which meant I fell asleep at 2 and woke up at 4 to psych myself up to go to the towing impound lot at 6:30, one of the only places in the city it would let me pay (and my personal circle of hell), to wait in line for an hour and be told to go to the cashier’s window. paid the expired tickets and the boot fee, then I took a rideshare back to my car because I was parked next to a sign that said it was a tow zone from 8:30 to 10:30 and I legit planned on camping out in my car the entire time and being like. I will move my car when they take off the boot but nobody is touching it until then. but 8:30 came and nothing happened and 9:30 came and nothing happened and lowkey the tow zone street parking sign looked hella fake anyway like somebody had printed it and hoped people would move. but nobody even moved. so at 9:30 I called it quits and said well I’m exhausted and I took another freaking rideshare back to my place where I finally passed out. woke up at 1:45, showered and cleaned the litter boxes, I havent eaten anything today except coffee and I have work in 25 minutes and my ride is late :-)
