First of all, we have a lot of different parties. Department of Justice registered 349 parties. But only 17 parties are registered in the UK. In Ukraine, every politician wants to have their own party. That’s why they register parties that no one has heard of. For example, have you ever heard about parties, which are called «25» or «Friends»? I am absolutely sure – that you haven’t. Their founders don’t want to cooperate with other politicians and to lead the country to success together. That’s why almost all these parties are of the leadership type: when the leader leaves, the party is dying. For example, Sviatoslav Vakarchuk was the leader in the party «Voice». When he decided to go away, because he was tired by politicians, politicians started to lose the support of voters. Now this party has a real problem with support. Political experts believe, «Voice» will not be able to win the election. 

Second, Ukraine politics is characterized by populism, when politicians promise something that they will not be able to do in the future. For example, in the last Ukrainian election, the party «Servant of the people» promised to raise teachers’ salaries to 4 thousand dollars. However, when this party won, they forgot about their promise. European countries also have populists, but they don’t get power as in Ukraine.
