Her dark hues danced around features that her fingers had touched previously, a desire that still traversed through her system during the time her lingering gaze was still all over Hades. “Hopefully it’ll be later than expected.” Even if the yet was merely a tease, life was unpredictable and what was written in the future was yet to be unraveled. Death was inevitable, she just hoped that once it was her time, it wouldn’t be through the hands of the woman who was just right in front of her. And that, if Pandora was ever to hurt someone, that it would never be Hades. After what had happened with Hathaway, Selin felt exhausted; the idea of betrayal was far from what she wanted to focus on. She didn’t want to distrust members in this mission no matter how much some of those had given her reasons to. But Aylin had never been one of those, in her eyes, Selin had solely seen the truth.

“I–I don’t think we ever will. We’ll surpass it perhaps? And those feelings will fade away, but not completely,” at least that was an assumption. Truth being told, the moment it happened, part of herself just wished she had Yusuf in the crew. That she could aim for her uncle’s embrace and wise words; something she was left without before she was even part of it all. “I’m here. Whatever you need to make you feel more alive, I’m here.” It wasn’t easy to let others in, but it was even harder to let go of her. Selin found herself in the thin line after months of not seeing Hades, unable to defend herself from the defenceless. “Since we’re already here, I wouldn’t mind practicing a little. Better to be prepared for whatever is there to come, before we’re finally back home to a new mission. How do you think it is going to be?”

A shallow sigh escaped her, barely audible as her teeth were pressed together, her jaw locked almost completely. It took her much more effort and strength to keep a certain distance, to not let her guard down which she’d crafted so carefully. At least, Hades thought, she’s alright. She’s alive, that’s what mattered at the moment. The death of agent Hathaway returned a single, unwanted truth into Hades’ mind: any one of them could die, at any minute for any reason. Skilled or not, new or old -- as much as she loathed change and hated the idea of having to confess to anything, rendering her vulnerable, Hades couldn’t deny the part that wanted to, at least, use whatever fleeting time she still had to tell Pandora everything. About Serkan, about what she felt and didn’t confess to. Not many knew about her son, not many except others like agent Nova and agent Kingsbane. Yet, upon seeing true beauty in front of her, Hades felt bad about not having told Pandora much about her to begin with. "Hopefully,” Hades answered as merely a breathless whisper, too scared to speak too loudly of such horrible possibilities, too afraid they’d become reality. To imagine Pandora’s death enraged the Oracle, though merely her fingers tensed lightly as she stopped herself from forming a fist. If only she could be more open -- how easy things might be then.

it was a surprise that for sure, getting the notification that there was a small lead on her family’s murder, an lead that she knew will take her nowhere but she had to try, it’s been ten years since that day and given everything that has happened the last year, her need for revenge, even though it was silent, was getting higher and higher. venus was quiet, she was the type of an oracle that could get anywhere because the only way someone would notice her either they were trained to or she wanted it that way. revenge was her whole arc, it was the reason venus has blood on her hands, the reason she got into pantheon, the reason that she is who is she right now. walking behind that man with her knife behind a jacket was implosive, it wasn’t what saxon would’ve wanted but the person was right there, all she had to do was demand information. 

the last person she expected was hades.

“why are you here?” she demanded, trying to keep her cool. did hades try to find her? just like saxon did in dubai? kraken is still alive thanks to her titan and only thanks to him. she looked forward towards the man that was slowly going further and further away. “hades, move. this isn’t your fight nor your business.”

To be honest not even Hades knew why she was there. Fate, maybe. Maybe fate demanded her to aid Venus in getting her desired revenge. Though possibly unwanted, she realized there could be a possibility of Venus choosing the path of blindness rather than cruelty. Being swift with death was too much of a relief for monsters like them. “You’re no use to us if you kill them now. Where are they heading? Do you know?” Hades purposely ignored Venus’ plea, hoping she’d think differently soon.

       the heat here holds a thickness in the air that cesco swears he could possibly bite through if he so chooses. his shirt clings to his back, dark slicked hair beginning to curl at the ends due to the humidity. it’s truly beautiful here, he’d admire it more if it weren’t due to his attention being pulled to the mission. which- seemed far too easy thus far but he doesn’t allow his pessimism to dig too deep into the path of realism he should stick to in moments such as these.

     dark hues turn from the view and to the mixing of crews around them. there’s a good number of them, he goes into that tomb with his team, collects the artefacts, bring them up- then they add another completed mission to the ever growing pile. though it’s customary for every mission to bring that small nagging feeling at the back of the titan’s head, always thinking several decisions ahead just in case.

      “  i hope you’re not eyeing this mission up as a possible way to get rid of me hades.  “  a brow is raise, slight curve to the side of his mouth as he asks. 

She waits, hopes for the action to begin soon. Oracles were idle unless the mission actually began. Of course they had their fair share of involvement prior to this, but not the logistic part of it, the planning. Protect, kill if needed, destroy -- an Oracle’s job included anything else but peace - and Hades liked keeping it that way, even with her close companions. To keep others at a certain distance allowed her to approach each mission in a more objective way. What mattered was, that the mission wouldn’t fail, that her fellow agents would come out alive, that the artifacts returned to its proper owners and territories. 

There’s laughter in the air, soft, nothing but a chuckle while the handful of teams prepared for their next mission. Turkey had properly prepared her for the heat, so Hades made sure she was stacked on bullets and had a clear mind throughout the mission. Looking upward she caught the sight of Cosmos, the Titan she undoubtedly had to listen to today. It wasn’t really a secret, that they had a love and hate relationship. While she could admire him for his intelligence, Hades couldn’t really handle... much else. Well, that was a lie. In fact, the Oracle liked quite a few things about the Titan, some of which she couldn’t rationally explain nor cared to dwell deeper on. Yet, here they were. 

Hades couldn’t help but follow the busy street, blending in with the crowd in order to not look in any way suspicious. While swimming with the flow wasn’t something she usually did, Hades knew about the positive side effects of not having a face, an opinion, at times. Once a few of them left Hades did the same, if they decided to play with their phones Hades could be seen typing away on the screen. Numbers, letters, nothing really of importance. Thing had gotten so incredibly boring after their sudden halt, so Hades decided to head out once, leave her son with agent Nova and see what the night had to offer. She longed to feel adrenaline running through her veins, to feel the trigger against her finger, to be sure of success. Yet all she encountered were uninteresting people, until --  a striking beauty seemed to be walking down the streets, towards a park, in order to track down a dubious man dressed in a fine suit; rich, sure of himself. By the way she walked Hades suspected a more serious meaning behind all of that. Like a predator hunting prey. Venus. No one else had the same hunger for revenge like Hades once longed for. And although her hunger had been sated a while back, Venus hadn’t yet. 

It was a bittersweet feeling, being close to home. At least, close to the country that became her second home from the time she had to detach from living nearby her family and, therefore, everything she had accomplished and that shaped her into being the person the crew noticed her value and, therefore, invited her in. This time, it was solely because the remembrance of everything she had been working for years, was going through troubling waters; she felt herself, metaphorically, constantly drowning and attempting to reach the surface with little struggles. Every moment of darkness was merely Selin drowning in her thoughts of how she should’ve done something, predicted what had happened, found a way to make sure all of them would leave that mission alive.

Another part of herself would shut it down, ignore the incessant thoughts about the past and the death of agent Hathaway, by focusing solely on the vanity life could offer. At least her life, had been able to provide that to herself.

She had to, or else, she would lose her mind. Those brief times by herself that she aimed for pain, trying to give herself a share of guilty in it all shouldn’t continue. It wasn’t her fault, they found the one to blame. So why hadn’t Pandora been able to find peace within her mind? Why after days, months, almost an year, those memories were still loudly pounding inside her brain?

She needed to be able to defend herself and attack; despite how much it pained her to think about the latter. And that was why she was there. To practice, to aim to increase her knowledge. But, then, her dark hues found Hades, and silence was offered until the moment she felt the weight of the other woman’s moving against Selin. There was a brief moment of thrill, her heart was beating faster and despite the situation, she found a lacuna that could be occupied by a minor tease. “I’m alive, aren’t I? So, maybe, I should be thankful you didn’t go all the way.”

Sharing a brief smile with the other woman, Selin waited until she would have her personal space, and while doing so continued to focus on their conversation. “I don’t think we haven’t crossed paths ever since– well, you know. I reminded myself of you during one of my travels around this enormous blue planet, if it means anything.”

“Yet,” Hades hissed while immediately softening her grip on the other woman. Tender, so unlike her - she deeply cared about Pandora and her well-being, which is why Hades snapped out of her defensiveness in an instant upon seeing her. Such feelings shouldn’t have been brought to the surface, here they were, clearly visible for the other to see if only she looked carefully. Unloading the gun and holstering it Aylin took a step back and further examined the brunette beauty. Four hundred would always prevail. Its rich history and traditions remained unmatched, at least in Hades’ mind. With Pandora being a member Hades trusted her completely. Even after everything, especially after the failed mission, that hasn’t changed.
