Fo chen dĂşib!
Welcome to my blog for translating posts into Old Irish! I am an undergraduate Celtic Studies student, and I have been learning Old Irish since January 2025. This blog is mostly just for fun, and I may make mistakes. I post more about Old Irish/Celtic studies in general on my other blog @celticstudies
Old Irish/Old Gaelic belongs to the Goidelic branch of the Celtic languages, and is the ancestor of modern Irish (Gaeilge/Gaeilic/Gaelainn), Scottish Gaelic (GĂ idhlig), and Manx (Gaelg/Gailck).
My profile picture is from the cover of An Introduction to Early Irish Literature by Muireann Nà Bhrolcháin.
