bored, sleepless, and uninspired so i decided to do some color portrait studies

inspired by extremely large jackets, @hillergoodspeed , and first grade memories 🍂

concept: smol witch girlie passes by the nearby swamp after magic school and discovers a mysterious force of energy 💫 (that fire-looking thing in the middle of the swamp is supposed to be a wisp but it ended up looking like the jimmy neutron thing... whoops)

godzilla but make it fish 🐟 (practicing concepts and trying to revive sketching for this inktober (also using the official prompt list))

some zoom portrait 15~20 min paint sketches. definitely wouldn’t have been able to crank these out a few years ago so i guess there’s some progression being made. which is good.
