ACTUALLY, POSTS ON THIS BLOG??? WITCHCRAFT

But yes, finally! After over a year, I am finally finishing this piece! I wanted to make this for a long time, let out some personal feelings, and it’s been anxiety-inducing but a relief to put this onto paper. I hope you get something helpful out of it, too.

Little warning: this two parter talks about a heavy subject: depression. While the first part is mostly fine other than maybe the ending (if it’s a very sensitive topic for you), the second part is more explicit, so I’ll give a warning in part 2 but not here.

One of them is hurt and the other falls asleep in their hospital room

The other losing their mind when their partner is hurt/killed and charging into battle recklessly

One is mind controlled and forced to fight the other

The other refusing to harm them and getting seriously injured as consequence

I could go on about this trope alone for 5 hours

(Even doe Liam has heat vision, its almost being completely blind since he can only see green and white. Green being the heat and the white being the cold. Depending on the weather, especially winter, it can be very very hard to navigate and sometimes does have to use his walking stick for those days where he is completely blind.)

Childhood trauma can affect a person so greatly because of its prescence in the time of developmemt. Events that would normally change a person become embedded in every fiber of one’s identity. It is this time of life which is so crucial to your entire future. This is the unique nature of C-PTSD, which doesn’t merely change a person, it creates them. It builds every trait, interest, and understanding of the world with this toxin. Nothing is unaffected or unaltered because all there is to alter was created by the trauma. Moving forward is not moving back to before the trauma, it is in every essence a rebirth and reeducation of life itself. To move on we can not erase, because to erase trauma’s effect we in theory erase ourselves.
