this is true not only in relationships, but every aspect of your life if you ask me. that is why the quote “opportunity favors the prepared” is so real! - you’ve heard the statistics that almost 100% of the people who hit the lottery for millions end up broke again, right? it’s because they had millions externally, but they weren’t millionaires internally. - anyhow. to bring it back the meme. you, man or woman alike, might meet the perfect person for you and because you aren’t prepared for that opportunity, you might let it slip through your hands. - so many people have had a not so good relationship and instead of getting better they get bitter afterwards. they do a lot of finger pointing and not enough self analysis to see what part they played. - and that’s easier, right? if it’s everyone else’s fault, you don’t have to do any work on yourself. but i can almost assure you that that’s not the case. - i guess a simple way of putting it is, if you keep doing what you’re doing, you’ll keep getting what you’re getting. i’d suggest taking some time off and really clearing your cache. i know a lot of people who are absolutely horrible communicators and they keep ending up in situations (romantic or otherwise) where their communication skills have failed them, but they never do anything to work on communication. - okay. this is becoming a book. and i wasn’t going to tag @officialmichaeljai or @iamgillianwhite, but the quote was inspired by their story — according to him. https://www.instagram.com/p/BzhWMWnAyba/?igshid=11ervxd1j48xi
