RULES AND GUIDELINES:

1) Artwork must be original content, created by you and not infringe on anyone else’s rights.

2) Artwork must be based on Sally Face, the video game.

3) Winners must be able to supply artwork in print resolution, as a psd, vector or png file at 300 dpi.

4) Use the hashtag #sallyfacefanart2019 on Instagram, Twitter or Tumblr to submit a piece of art.

5) Do not include any promotional images or promotional text on the artwork (such as social media handles or web addresses).

6) No purchase necessary.

7) Judging will take place after the contest end and will be conducted by Steve Gabry, Hot Topic and BandMerch.

I think the whole Dema vs Trench thing is that Trench is recovery. The bishop(s), or blurryface as we know him, has full reign over dema and all of the sadness manifesting there. To escape to trench is to be pulled out.

The contrast between Neon Gravestones and the rest of the story oriented songs on the album is quite interesting because it brings upon the notion that the gaveyard (maybe) between dema and trench is full of suicide victims who's graves glow with the element neon to show their "importance". Everyone in dema wants a neon gravestone, or a way out. Its explicitly stated in NG that dema (as well as real life) holds the gravestones as an honor. I think this symbolizes the fact that people stuck in the city would rather die than risk an escape and relapse. They hold suicide high because they feel it's the best thing to do. Wouldn't be surprised if the entire metaphorical city of dema thinks thst way.

This is mostly supported by the lower lyric set

"we give them the highest of praise, and hang their banner from a ceiling communicating, further engraving an earlier death is an optional way"

"Optional way" referring to an optional way of leaving the city, sans trench.
