It’s just simple fun. I played these in the arcade and they’re still just as fun on a handheld. Except Pole Position that game can go to hell. It’s also really cool that the pause menu has tips on how to play these retro titles.

A Boy Named Charlie Brown (1969)

There are movies that I rewatch because they're my favorites (Collateral). There are movies I rewatch as white noise for sleep, because they're familiar (Tombstone, The Bourne Supremacy, Ocean's Eleven). Then, there are movies I rewatch just because it's been a while and I need the nostalgia buff.

This is the latter.

I love comic strips so dearly. Peanuts is timeless, and this film has a very unique art quality that makes it a genuinely enjoyable rewatch. Sad the black guy didn't make it to the final four of the spelling bee.

Game 4: Turok - Rage Wars on Game Boy Color

The first stage theme actually goes v hard for a GBC title. When I first got the bow, I got excited, but it does half the damage of the knife. Then I got a milli. It does the same damage as the bow. Moral: if dinosaurs come back, grab a knoife.

Game 3: Mario & Luigi - Dream Team on Nintendo 3DS

In the short time I’ve played this, it’s one of the best handheld experiences I’ve ever had. Like, this is as enjoyable of an experience as any console or PC game I’m playing right now. Genuine treat. The 3DS effects are clever and the writing is among the best of any Mario game ever.
