Tobacco use continues to be a leading preventable risk factor for mortality and morbidity in Canada. Despite the overall decline of prevalence, tobacco use remains a major health risk for distinct populations of Canadians.

This course manual is designed to help healthcare practitioners better understand tobacco use by individuals with mental illness and/or substance use disorders, and to learn strategies to help them quit.

Following the branding guidelines, look & feel and design queues of CAMH’s TEACH Project this manual was created with a series of typeface families, paragraph & character styles that had a common pattern.

The font used was ‘Open Sans’ due to its simple and soft shape. This typeface has numerous weights to which worked with different titles & sections throughout the document.

In the era of intensity-modulated radiotherapy (IMRT), the ability to accurately delineate target volumes, to identify areas at risk for subclinical disease, and accurately delineate normal anatomical structures has become more important than ever before.

This course & manual was created especially for radiation oncology residents by a multidisciplinary group of clinicians and educators who are passionate about teaching and committed to improving patient care.

The ARC Bootcamp was designed using an evidence-based approach. The course was piloted in 2011-2012 with a series of lectures that included pre- and post-testing of residents along with extensive qualitative feedback. Several modifications were made to the lectures prior to the first bootcamp in 2013, and each subsequent iteration is modified further based on evaluations.

The goal was to develop a framework for understanding and creating ethical and appropriate marketing practices for reaching young audiences.

This discussion paper provides an overview of legal, regulatory and child development considerations and includes an analysis and case study review of children’s digital creators.

Inspiration for the ethical framework and best practices are drawn from the many content creators we met who appreciate and balance the rich discovery possibilities of the digital space with the special needs of children.
