First meeting prompts.

There was a small feeling of embarrassment that heated his cheeks. Clive fought so hard to be taken seriously... and he had been tasked with setting up a tea party for his father's new ward. They hadn't even been formally introduced.

But it was the dutiful thing to do, even if he was clueless. He asked for advice — most had a hearty chuckle for his predicament, there had only been a couple of helpful pointers. To throw a tea party he would need... tea. It was poorly brewed, and more warm than hot by the time word reached the young Lady Warrick. There were a couple of swiped honey cakes adorning dainty little plates that had come with the cups. He didn't know the plates were supposed to be saucers for the teacups, just as he clearly hadn't planned for ants.

First meeting prompts.

Hugo Kupka was dead. That weight had been lifted from Clive's heart — he felt a direct connection to the pain and suffering inflicted, it had been his hand to set that wheel in motion. Just as it had finally been his hand to stop it.

Though the fight against Titan had taken a toll. The dominant supped on aether and became something that shook the earth alright. No longer primed as Ifrit he could feel the toll of the battle.

That is pretty easy to translate over to FFXVI but I can't stop thinking about Ultima witnessing the fucking audacity and being all:

"Fuck." Clive cursed under his breath. The event was highly-guarded, their family and friends-of being highly wealthy and from all different walks of the political sphere. If anyone wished to steal a moment with the Rosarian upper-crust now was the time. And he was on the outside thanks to a purposeful mix-up with his mother. She had given him the wrong details, likely with the intention of making him look bad for having missed Joshua's birthday.

Present in hand and not one to simply take a kick laying down, Clive's mind was already ticking. He shrugged off his jacket and shed his tie. Like this he looked somewhat like one of the caterers and he knew damn well the casual look would be a thorn in his mother's side. Even better.

The morning had been one of going through the motions. Head down, Clive kept himself busy and well out of the way of his mother's ire.

It was always more difficult when his father had to travel away for official business. Though he supposed it was much the same even when he was home — he could only shield him so much from being the problem child of the nest. He would have to be smarter about stealing time away with Jill and Joshua.

There was nary a warning about the incoming attack.

It felt like a bucket of cold water had been doused on him. A chilling sensation ran up his spine, and his heart leapt somewhere into his throat when those milky puppy teeth sharp as needles clamped around the leather of his boot and left tiny indents in their wake.

That flare of wide-eyed surprise died out with an equally shocked laugh. "Torgal." It was almost a chastise. He stooped down to wrest the beasts maw from his ankle and immediately planted a kiss to an all-to-proud and fluffy head. He'd survive the attack, if barely.

"I wonder..." The mischievous pup was quickly returned to the earth, and Clive flashed a grin. "Think you can stir things up for me? We'll both get in a spot of trouble, but we're used to that aren't we." He straightened, hand pulling the iron handle of one of the side doors, easing it open quietly. Then he pointed with a hushed order. "Attack." The room housed Joshua and his tutor. Enough of a fuss and the lesson would naturally be paused.
