Headcanon moment: after Octavia cut herself, he went to medical a few days later asking for antibiotics because her cut had gotten infected but so had his. He let her have the medicine while his hand got swollen and hurt more. Aurora changed his bandage several times a day while O who had gotten better, hugged herself in his trembling body and begged for him 'not to die' because she couldn't imagine her life without him there. Eventually, Aurora figured out he won't get better without actual meds himself and found a woman in farm station who gave her an antiseptic paste which cost her all her ration points for the next two weeks. He got better but they had no food and he forced himself to go back to school, so he'd be able to get free lunch, hide it in his back pack and bring it home to Octavia. Bellamy lost so much weight in that month that at night when Octavia wrapped herself around him, she could read his ribs and close her arms on his back, something she never could before. He has always been her big brother and back then he seemed as small as her which scared her.
