A messy and eventful history…

Expanding on my F1 AU, this time with Doflamingo and Rosinante’s past! Ten years before Law’s debut, the brothers were a dream team. Doffy entered the grid as a fresh-faced rookie with big dreams and quickly worked his way to the top, suffering only one setback when a crash during his third season took him out of the sport for a year. Rosi started his career the same season his brother returned, as his teammate, determined to match his record. What followed was ten years of sibling rivalry, three Constructor’s championships between them and five Driver’s Championships under Doffy’s belt alone. Resentment grew within Rosi as his career became a background to his brother’s successes, and as he watched fame and victory completely change him over the years.

What teams would these characters race for? My F1 AU was initially just gonna use a combination of made-up teams and real teams, but I actually think now it would be more fun to put them in real teams based on their Vibes TM.

Luffy - As an experienced driver, I think he’d look great in Ferrari red. As a ROOKIE, I think he would get into Mercedes in the same way that Kimi is in Mercedes and absolutely kill it by being such a talented rookie. He would be fantastic in a VCarb, too, but I think Luffy would be the sort of rookie driver that comes into a good team and immediately turns the whole grid upside down.

Law - Law is going to be the star of this AU so it’s very important I get his team right. I want him to compete with Luffy too and not be on the same team, so whatever that Luffy gets, Law can’t be here. I can see him in McLaren or Redbull. I DON’T KNOW WHERE HE WOULD GO…Might even stick him in Mercedes and make Luffy a competitive VCarb rookie, because that also feels very believable to me.

On a side note, I think Mihawk would make a good Mercedes team principal, because that’s kind of sexy. I cannot imagine a Mercedes team principal who isn’t good looking and smart like Toto.

Doflamingo - races with Mercedes for most of his career and then gets rich and buys Alpine or something. It’s hard to imagine Alpine being competitive but?? I think Doflamingo has the right amount of Evil to be a ruthless Alpine team principal :D but unlike Flavio( FUCK that guy) he would actually be able to drag the team from the depths of hell and get them a good car. He would also probably replace underperforming drivers at the same rate, though…

Rosi - he goes wherever Doflamingo is, not always by choice. But I love the idea of a tragic ‘forced to be a second driver forever because of his brother being his teammate his whole career’ plot line for him.

If Law is not gonna be a cunty McLaren driver with a weird relationship with his teammate, someone else needs to step up to that role and i don’t know who it’s gonna be yet.
