6 years ago to be exact

my youthful yearning had took refuge in my chest and this was the first time i ever felt a strong attraction to a guy that i wanted (and would) to be with

those soft memories of fall, high school football, dark bus rides back, hand holding and cuddling, drinking coffee and pumpkin spice lattes

i don’t know if me from 6 years ago would be happy to see where we are now; i didn’t want the end yet but it might be disheartening to know how long this loneliness would last

who knew a year and a half later my soft dreams would be ended and reality would set in
