You feel two arms wrap around your waist. Turning your head, you see your pudding-head boyfriend. Kenma was streaming for his birthday just a few minutes ago, so why is he down here in the kitchen with you? He nuzzled his face into your neck and you smiled at the sensation.
“Hello, birthday boy,” you said. “I thought you were streaming.”
“Yeah, I was,” he responded. “But I smelled something good from here and paused so I could find out what it was.” You hummed in acknowledgement.
Kenma stared down at the counter. They held three trays with freshly made apple turnovers. Before he came down, you were working on some frosting for them.
“Kuroo wanted me to make him some apple turnovers, and he did say he was gonna pay me,” you said.
“How much?”
“I don’t remember.” You took one of the now cooled pastry off the tray and held it up to Kenma, moving your other hand below to catch any crumbs. “You wanna try?”
He took a bite out of the turnover, letting the sweetness of the pastry fill his mouth.
“It’s really good,” he said, taking it from your hand and taking another bite. “Can I bring some to eat while I finish my stream?”
“Go ahead!” you respond with a smile, going back to making the frosting.
Kenma grabbed a plate from the cupboard and placed at least 4 turnovers on the plate. He kissed your cheek with a “thank you” before heading back to his office.

Izuku sighed, sitting down on the ledge of a building. He looked down at the city, tired from all the moving around he’s had to do. He hated constantly being on the run. He just wanted to be back in class with his friends without a care in the world. He wanted to be a normal 16-year-old. He wanted to be back in your arms.
Guess that’s just not how reality works.
He opened up the bento All Might made for him and started to dig in. He wished that he could share a proper meal with his mentor.
The boy’s mind slowly wandered to you. He wondered how you were doing back in your world. He felt guilty at the thought of how you looked when he stopped visiting you. Did you still continue to travel over? Did you stop?

Izuku placed the finished box beside him. He continued to watch the city, looking for any signs of trouble. Suddenly, a rush of energy flowed through his body, but it was different than before. He looked down at his hands and watched them fade into glowing white particles.

The fading picked up in speed and Izuku’s vision slowly started to go black.
Just as quickly as the energy came, it left.
Izuku opened his eyes and found himself at a beach. However, it wasn’t one he recognized. The sky was slowly turning a familiar shade of blue as the sun slowly set below the horizon.
Then, he saw you. You sat down on the sand, watching the wave crash onto the shore.
“(Name)?” he called out. You turned around, surprised.
“Izuku?” you called back. You hastily stood up, running over to him.
Your hands reached his face, cradling him softly. As you made contact, a rush of energy flowed through your body.
“It’s really you,” the two of you said. You laughed at how in sync both of you were. Izuku smiled and chuckled along. You took his hand, bringing him over to where you were sitting earlier.
“God, it’s been so long since I’ve seen you,” you said. “I can’t believe you're here, in my world.”
“Honestly, I don’t even know how I’m here,” Izuku said, looking down at his hand. “It happened so suddenly.”
He looked back up at you. “I can’t believe that you have to go through that every time you come to me.”
“Yeah?” you smiled. “At first it freaked me out, but as time went on whenever I traveled it became comforting for me, especially since I knew it was time to see you” Your smile faded.
“But recently I haven’t been. I don’t exactly know why. I decided to come out here to try and recreate how it felt to be at that beach with you. Then I felt a rush of energy and thought, ‘maybe I’ll travel again’,” you took his hand in yours, feeling the rush again, “turns out it was actually you. And I’m honestly okay with that.”
Izuku moved your head to rest on his shoulder. “I’m okay with that too. It’s different to be the one traveling.”
“And it’s different to be the one visited.”

The loud slam of his textbook filled Izuku’s room. He jumped up from his chair and slipped on a hoodie to accommodate for the cooler autumn weather. He looked out the window, watching the sun slowly set below the horizon and the sky turning that lovely shade of blue.
Grabbing his phone, he rushed out of his room and slipped on his shoes.
“I’m heading to the beach mom!” he called out.
“Alright, be safe!” Inko called back as Izuku rushed out the door.
Once he left the apartment, he checked the time on his phone. 5:11, it read.
Just about sunset.
Izuku started to walk faster, almost jogging, to the beach. He wanted to make as much time with you as possible.
Once the blue hour starts, about 10 minutes after sunset, you would appear at Takoba Seaside Bay where Izuku started his training with All Might.
That was actually how he met you. He remembers seeing a glowing figure of a person about 6 months into his 10 month training plan. He watched you move around the beach, exploring the area. You disappeared just about twenty minutes later.
The image of you on the beach the first time he ever saw you never left his mind. He didn’t build up the courage to talk to you until you started appearing on the beach before sunrise weeks later.
He remembers how awkward it was the first time he interacted with you. He remembers you laughing at the situation, which made him laugh too. It then became so easy for you and him to interact.
It surprised him that the two of you were able to make this crazy relationship work, being from two completely different worlds and all. He wished he could see you more, but he still cherished the small amount of time the two of you did have. It made him feel like it was just the two of you in the world.
And maybe you were the only two in the world.

Summary: While you were waiting on Izuku to finish his workout at the gym, you stumbled across something a little more interesting. What on earth could he keep in this little mysterious notebook stuffed deep in the bottom of his bag?
Heavy smacks of leather and subsequent jingle of chain echoed through the hall you were walking down. It was almost two in the afternoon, way past the time you were originally supposed to pick him up. After waiting in the car for twenty minutes, you decided to just go find him instead. From the sounds of it, he was still in the training gym at his agency. That man could never get enough, always pushing himself to the limits and usually beyond. Reaching the door, you poked your head through, met with the sight of him abusing that poor punching bag that seemed to be at its limits. The chain rattling in complaint of his relentless strikes.
Watching on in silent awe at the man hoping he wouldn't notice your presence quite yet. Shirt long since abandoned somewhere off to the side, sweat rolling down his flexed back muscles, and bangs pinned up with a band. Completely focused on the bag in front of him as if it really were his arch enemy. Hands wrapped tight and with each smack small drops of sweat and dust would explode out each time it connected. It was mesmerizing in a way. It always was whenever you got a chance to watch him work out.
Izuku still hadn't noticed as you casually leaned against the door admiring the view. Maybe spatial awareness was the next thing he should work on. A few more solid punches before he delivered a vicious roundhouse kick that finally snapped the chain and sent the bag flying. "Crap," he muttered rubbing the back of his neck as the sand steadily poured out of the defeated bag.
"What did that poor thing ever do to you?" your chuckle grew to a full-out cackle when he nearly jumped out of his skin at your voice.
"Oh Y/N," he breathed, grabbing his chest and sighing with relief when he found you leaning on the door. With a shake of his head and a slight chuckle he grabbed a small towel on the bench and dabbed the glistening sweat off his face and neck. "You scared me. Have you been working on your stealth skills?"
"Wait, you mean I was able to scare the unflappable hero Deku?" Pushing off the door you sauntered into the room. "Maybe you should work on your sensory skills." Then crossing your arms with a smirk, "or your time-keeping skills."
The pro hero blinked then glanced at the clock on the wall. "Shit. I'm so sorry, I didn't realize how late it got!" Throwing the towel haphazardly towards his gym bag, Izuku grabbed both your hands. "I can be in and out of the showers in five minutes!" with a quick kiss to your cheek he nearly tripped over his feet in his haste to get to the locker room showers. "Five minutes, I swear!" The promise slipped out the door before it slammed shut.
Faint squeaks of faucets and the steady fall of water told you he would keep his word so you went to gather his things into the duffel bag sprawled on the bench. Packing his shirt and water you noticed a few notebooks tucked in the bottom of the bag. Izuku had shown you his extensive collection of notebooks plenty of times, each with their own heavily detailed notes on whatever quirks or heroes that caught his eye. A few of them you even recognized as his most recent ones that he'd been eager to show you. But a smaller one barely poking out from underneath the stack caught your eye. You'd never seen it before. Plain black on the cover with no other indicator as to what it contained. Out of curiosity you plucked it from the bag and sat down on the bench.
The first thing that struck you as strange was the fact that the cover was blank. Izuku was meticulous with organizing his notes so he never lost any of them. Every notebook was always labeled, so why was this one so different? A quick glance up at the locker room doors, he would still be a few minutes. It couldn't hurt to take one peek. Besides, he always let you freely look through his notes. It was something he used to be so shy and nervous about but after you got excited reading through one, that shyness evaporated, replaced by a confident pride in his passion.
Carefully, you opened the cover, peeked down at the front page, and froze. Breath caught in your throat as you re-read the words written in that familiar scratchy handwriting. 'Notes on Y/N.'
What could he have possibly written about you? Sure he's shown you some notes he'd done on your quirk before, but those were in his other notebooks with other people's quirks. Nothing special. This, on the other hand, seemed different and quite personal. What could warrant an entire notebook dedicated to just you? There was a full second of debate in your brain on whether you should explore further, but that deep-seated curiosity won out in the end and you flipped to the next page.
It started off with basic facts listed off about you. Height, hair color, eyes, and other physical features. There were even little doodles spread throughout the page to highlight different features. Then it got into a deeper analysis of your quirk and all the ways he had thought to improve or enhance it. That part wasn't surprising, Izuku did love talking about quirks. But the further you read, the more personal it became.
Flipping through a few, you landed on one page titled: 'First Date.' Below was a thorough description of where you went and what you two did, but it mainly focused on you. A tiny sketch of your smiling face in the bottom corner had you mirroring the expression. It was drawn with precision and care. Izuku was a surprisingly good artist. Thrown around the page in little blurbs were small facts he'd learned that night. Likes all the M&M's except the yellow ones. Allergic to lilies her favorite flower. Likes collecting seashells. Left cheek dimples when she smiles. Etc.
That smile only grew bigger and brighter the more you read, hand subconsciously sliding over your left cheek to find the dimple. It wasn't surprising he knew all these things, the man was an expert observer. He didn't climb to the top ten for nothing, but the fact that he had an entire notebook reserved solely for you made you feel a bit breathless. Reading a few more pages, you got so absorbed into the book that you didn't hear the shower shut off.
Before you could read any more, the locker room door opened and Izuku stepped out furiously trying to dry his hair with a towel. He was dressed nice, ready for the afternoon date he'd planned. When he stepped out, you flinched so hard you nearly dropped the little notebook before shoving it back into the bottom of his bag. Trying not to look suspicious you picked up the bag, shuffled the contents around, and met him halfway across the gym.
"Ready?" you cleared your throat, holding the bag out for him to dump the towel in.
He smiled," Yeah, sorry about that." Folding the towel, he stuffed it into the bag then slung it over his shoulder. "I can't believe I got so distracted. You weren't waiting long were you?"
Only twenty minutes, but seeing that guilty look on his face, you shrugged. "No, not long."
With a relieved sigh, he nodded, wrapping his arm around your shoulder as the two of you headed outside. Walking down the hall, passing a few of his sidekicks who all gave him waves or winks, his face seemed to grow redder and redder.
"Are you alright?" you asked when he cleared his throat, messing with his hair. "You're usually only this distracted when you're worried or stressed about something? Did anything happen?" Although based on the airy mood in the building, it seemed like everything was going great at the agency.
Readjusting the bag over his shoulder, he flashed you a twitchy smile. "What? No. I'm not- um I'm fine."
Yeah, real convincing "I know the billboard charts are coming out soon, you're not worried about that are you?" poking his chest with a grin, "I know you're gonna do great. You're an amazing hero Izuku."
He looked down at you, lips finally spreading out in a genuine smile. "Thank you." Nuzzling his face closer to your, he kissed you just below your ear and you let out a small gasp at the sensitivity and smacked his chest, glancing around the now empty hall.
Laughing, he opened the door for you and lead you out to the car. "So where are we going?" you asked when he opened the passenger door for you.
Wherever he wanted to take you was apparently on a need-to-know basis and according to him, you didn't need to know yet. So with a wink, he went around to the trunk to put his bag in. One glance up to see you messing with your phone and he fished through the bag until he found the little black book. With a quick flip of the pages, he landed on the last full one. It was a checklist.
Twenty Step Proposal Plan.
The first seven lines were already checked off and as quickly and stealthily as he could he pulled out a pen and checked off number eight. Stall at gym until two. A giddy smile crossed his face as he read the next number. Surprise with a bouquet of chocolate lilies on the way to the Kai Boardwalk. (Mr. Takahashi will have them waiting at his booth.)
Tonight was the night. Everything was planned, maybe a little too much, but he wanted to be prepared. Being at the gym, while still on task to get you out of the way of preparations also served to weed out some of his anxieties about tonight. Everything was still right on track. One more lingering glance up, he snapped the book shut and buried it deep in his bag. A deep breath and he slammed the trunk shut. Tonight was the night.
