Well, that was a bonus mini-con day out of the way! Can't believe I'm halfway through the year at this point. Only three more dates to go...

I’m back...er, kindof. For the past couple of weeks I was on a mental health break for a lot of reasons.

One of them being art block and having my mental state being chipped away by a constant stream of worsening, increasingly loud yet thankfully very terminally online noise in many of my personal internet spaces.

The other was having to take care of my best buddy. He was seriously ill and had to be put to sleep yesterday. I had him since high school, he got me through everything imaginable at my life at the time upwards to university. It was painful to see him being that ill and unable to eat or play, but he’s no longer suffering. At the same time, my world feels emptier without him. It’s a lot to take in.

Much of my feelings are still very raw at the moment but I do want to post more art, comics and actual voiceover work soon, as well as an updated con schedule by the end of June. But moving forward, I have to reduce my social media presence. Life’s short and I’m not letting the noise eat me away. It’s what my buddy did anyway.

In a world where hope seems like a luxury, there’s always a deluge of upsetting and disturbing materials on our screens and way too many superheroes to keep track of, there must come a new generation of characters that will shed a beacon of light in these dark times.

…But seriously, what’s in that chest?
