Basic feminism doesn't account for the men who have uteruses. A large part of women's oppression is about their uteri and how it supposedly makes them inferior to men.

No that doesn't mean women who don't have uteruses aren't oppressed by misogyny (having a uterus as a women is a damned if you do damned if you don't situation) but reproductive rights have always been a large part of feminism.

That's why we don't need basic feminism, we need intersectional feminism that takes into account men who have uteruses and women who don't and acknowledges the material conditions of both groups.

It's been said before and I'll say it again

If your response to a trans man talking about his experience of being a trans person with a uterus is ‘this is offensive to trans women because they are dysphoric for not having been born with a uterus’ or ‘one day, trans women will be able to get someone else’s uterus inside them and have kids that way, so your problems aren’t important’ You Are A Misogynist, Full Stop

This is just misogyny to me in the same way a cis woman who can’t give birth feels entitled to someone else’s fetus. You’re not entitled to anyone else’s uterus - people like this like to thump ‘it’s basic feminism’ over our heads until the conversation is about reproductive rights for trans people born with uteri

This person is genuinely resentful that trans men and mascs because they were born with uteri and they weren’t. So for the sake of “solidarity”, we should ignore material reality of trans people born with uteri, because maybe one day science fiction could become a reality? Some trans people’s sufferings must be endured quietly so we can spare the other trans people’s feelings?

If you're too masculine then it's "You don't have to be a man, you can just be a butch lesbian!"

If you're too fem it's "Well you're hardly even a man anyway, just be nonbinary or something!"

And then if you're nonbinary it's "Well you're basically a woman anyway so-"

Like the only way for trans guys to be acceptable is to not be trans guys at all.
