I took some photos for @thefader at last night’s vigil. I tried to do so thoughtfully, respectfully and with the knowledge that photography, in times of tragedy, can be as invasive as it is powerful. The vigil was beautiful, devastating, empowering. I haven’t really found the words to talk about Orlando, but I will say this: Straight allies -- we need your voices, your support, your solidarity. Reach out to your queer friends, they are hurting and they are scared. Send a text, send an email, any words of support are the right words. To my queer family, and especially to the Latinx queer community that was disproportionately affected by this senseless tragedy, I am holding you in my heart; you are not alone.
