Oh Geeez, Not Again

As you prepare for the release of The Long-Lived King this September, we have new songs to get you in the mood to return to the Boiling Isles! Our latest Owl House inspired EP's My Kind of Story Vols. 1 & 2 are available on all streaming platforms!

Featuring 7 new songs in total, these collections were a chance for a us to return to our roots. All songs were written and produced solely by us in the band and were inspired by Season 1 of the Owl House.

You'll find tunes about Amity meeting Luz for the first time ("First Impressions"), Luz finally finding friends of her own at Hexside ("The Underdogs"), Amity and Willow's lost friendship ("Too Young To Know") and many more!

We hope you enjoy this trip down memory lane with us! It was a moment of relief and familiarity to get to re-live The Owl House for a few months. As we prepare to hit the stage again this summer and enter into the unknown again, it's good to return to the place it all began and find our friends still waiting for us there. Sharing some songs we've written over the years about the best animated moms!

We've arrived at our final Owl House Season 1 song, and we fittingly end on a bittersweet note. This song is dedicated to the lost friendship of Amity and Willow. Hope you enjoy "Too Young To Know":

"Too Young To Know" is a song about reflecting on youthful naiveté - when friendships are still simple and good times don't have be questioned or overanalyzed. On a personal note, this song has deeper resonance for me as I've been reliving the best of The Owl House season 1 these past few months.

It's easy for me to get lost in the nostalgia of this show - even just a few years past its conclusion. It's easy for me to wish to go back - back to 2020 when I was discovering this show while in lockdown, back to 2021 when the band formed and our music started getting noticed, back to 2022 when our music hit its peak of popularity.

That's really what this whole exercise was for me - an attempt to go back to those "better days" when making music was something that felt like an adventure and not a mundane chore. When new episodes were around the corner every week and I couldn't wait to see what happened next. When it didn't matter that the show would be over someday, because there was still so much to discover and new friends to share our songs with. "Thought it would last forever - too young to know better."

But nostalgia never tells the whole story. As much as I loved making music about The Owl House back then, I can't pretend that 2021 and 2022 were idyllic. Following along with the show and rushing to get music out about as many episodes as we could definitely gained us an audience, but it also burned us dry. Even trying to do a song a week like I did earlier this year soon became an impossibility as my new job got busier and busier. Try as we might, you can't recreate the past - or at least not the rosy vision you have of it in your mind. You have to keep moving forward,

It's been our most requested song topic ever since we announced we'd be writing music inspired by The Owl House, and today it's finally here. Join Luz and Amity for "Have This Dance?"! We hope it lives up to expectations! 🏳️‍🌈

It's been a while, but we are finally back with more Owl House season 1 music! This time, we wrote a song for the series' most beloved couple, Luz & Amity, at the beginning of their enemies-to-lovers relationship. In this song, they're still comfortably in the "enemies" phase...but perhaps there's something more?

All I have to offer on this miserable day for the world is Owl House songs. But to be honest, none of our Owl House songs were ever meant to just be songs about an animated TV show.

These are songs about misfits who have been constantly bent by oppressive systems to be "normal" and fall in line. They've been taught to fear their own difference and non-conformity because it's "dangerous" and "unnatural". That their value only comes from feeding the system.

But they reject all that and find value in each other. They find the light that was there all along - the "magic" that's inside all of us - and they spread it through their actions. It changes the world.

And even in 2026, I still want to believe that's possible. And I want our music to represent that belief. So fuck GenAI and ICE and all the inhuman billionaires who are constantly trying to wring every penny out of this exhausted world. I run with the underdogs.

So I hope these songs offer you some belief in a better world. That possibility lives in all of us.
