sam returns home from a mission, slightly bruised, only to find you asleep on the couch. as he puts down his bag against the wall, he walks over to rest his hand on your cheek. "hey, silly girl," he calls softly. "i’m back…" he watches you as you open your eyes. once the realization hits you, you embrace him, putting your arms around his neck. "i’m sorry," you apologize. "i was waiting for you and fall asleep." he smiles, reassuring you to not apologize. after all, it wasn’t your fault. "it’s okay. the flight has been delayed a little, but i’m here now." not wanting to wait any longer, sam slides one arm under your knees and the other behind your back, lifting you from the couch. "and, now that i’m back," his voice deepens, making you shiver, "i can take of you. would you like that?" you chuckle and nod, pressing your lips to his cheek. "i would love to, cap."
