My boobs do not agree with engorgement..
They're too huge, hard, hot, and heavy! It's as if they're meant for a porn star, they're not meant for me. Seriously, I'd bet they're about a double F. Unreal.
Breastfeeding is a bit hard for me too since I've had surgery in my right breast. The scar tissue from my incision is too thick and blocks a lot of ducts, making my nipple flat. They recommended I use the pump to start that one off, but even then it's not enough for my little girl.
It makes me sad and upset. It makes it worse when she's screaming about it too. I get too flustered and discouraged. Feeding too much on my left is making that one more big than the other, and I don't want that. It's a game messing with my mind.
I don't want to give up though.

I'm in the process of creating a new post now about her first couple days of life.
Daddies girl. Born oct 3rd, 5:29 pm. 7lbs 3oz 18inches long. Took forever but it was worth it! She's so beautiful. She has a hard time latching but I haven't met with the lactation consultant yet. Shes such a heavy sleeper too. My vagina hurts! Owww. And I can barely walk. I got stitches and internal tears cause she came out with her elbow over her head. And to top it off I have horrendous hemmorhoids. Poor brennen has to care for us both. In debating whether or not to go home tomorrow or wednesday. I should try to sleep.
Pretty much at a 10 and they broke my waters at 9 1/2. Theyre gonna make me push soon. Waiting for the pressure drop. To think I might be pushing the same time stasia did but on the west coast! Our babies are like due date twins from the start! congrats stasia hes so handsome!

Water still hasn't broke. Got the epidural and trying to rest after a night of no sleep. Things are progressing rather quickly. Where does the time go?

Last time I was checked I was at a 6. Not too much longer til I meet keala! <3
Went to the hospital and got hooked up. Contractions stayed consistent, but my midwife said I only progressed to 2cm and 80% effaced. She gave me some sleep-aid and sent me home. She said chances are I will see her either by 8am today or by her next shift at 8pm. She expects things to get more intense by the time I wake up and that I'll be coming in again within 24 hours since my cervix is "favorable" and things have been moving pretty fast since I lost my show.
Fuck this sucks and hurts like a bitch.
Okay she was right, I don't think I would be able to talk through these..
Every go I start grabbing the edges of my bed with tight fists taking as long of breaths as I can. I thought I had a high pain tolerance, I guess I thought wrong. These are making me turn to a wuss.
The past couple were only about 4 and a half minutes long. Keep it up so I can hurry and go to the hospital.
Still debating on when to wake up Brennen..
Steady 6 min apart, almost a min long each, increase in pain.

These contractions better be for real real and not for play play. I'm tired of this girl messing with my head.
I went to bed at 7 (whyyyy so early?!) and they woke me up around 9. They aren't as often or as long, but man they do hurt when they come. You'll never guess what I saw when I went to the bathroom as well... the good show.
I'm going to try to fall back asleep, maybe I can progress some by the next time I'm awaken. If it's not tonight I know it's coming soon enough. I just hope time passes by quickly.
On another note, I'm cheering for Stasia! She'll be in my thoughts and I look forward to hearing about her little boy!!

So today I found out my friends baby was put in the NICU right after he was born. He has to be in there for another 7-10 more days. It's so sad. He had trouble breathing, and they think he has pneumonia as well. Poor little guy. My friend Fawn was so torn up by him (since he was 9 lbs) that she had to stay in the hospital from Wednesday to Friday. She's still going to visit her baby as often as she can of course. Her mom said her labor was painful, she was trying to go natural but she ended up getting the epidural. She was pushing with no progress for 2 hours so they had to use the vacuum on the little guy.
I can't wait until she gets to take him home. I also can't wait until I can meet the little guy! I hope he gets well soon!
You see all those books right there?
Yeah, we found all of them today while garage sale hunting. All of them for under $20. They are all classics, mostly from one lot where a lady gave them to us for $6. Lots of golden books, lots of old Disney books from the 80s. Mercer Meyer, Shel Silverstein, Berenstain Bears, Dr. Seuss, Baby Einstein, and some well known like the Secret Garden, Ferdinand, Corduroy, Where the Wild Things Are, and plenty of other fantastic books! I'm so happy with our find, that we're going to go more often! Brennen is going to build a bookcase to take place of that table these are on. Tomorrow we're hitting up the big swapmeet for some tools for him, but I'm sure there will be books that I'm going to hunt for. I'm so excited!
We also got some more big tupperware for the rest of Keala's clothes, I made space in our closet and Brennen went cleaning/nesting crazy. He cleaned everything immaculately. We're so happy how everything is coming together.
