With book towering around you, you scribble a speech down. Brows furrow. Everything has to be just right. Diction. Facts. Sentence variety. Examples. Every last thing had to be right. Everything, everything, everything. Stomach growls. Food isn’t important. Not now. Maid arrives, let’s you know dinner is ready. Not that it matters. Nothing is more important than perfection.

There are ten thousand wars to wage, and she wants to be on the front lines of all of them. She, with her nose buried in history books so she can learn from mistakes before she makes them. Her, with the proud hand up in the front row of her college lectures and an eloquent dismissal of her professor’s argument on her tongue. Anxiety creeps in sometimes, gives her the goosebumps so bad she can’t leave the house, but her 30k Twitter followers don’t care. They hang on her every word no matter where she is. So she teaches them to question everything. She won’t hand-feed you the knowledge, but she does want you to learn. Everyone should be learning, herself included. She sees the signs of revolution on the horizon, and she wants to do her part. She, she and her beautiful mind, will fight with tongue and pen and, eventually, her bloody fists.

the ability to manipulate objects with one’s mind. those blessed with telekinetic abilities have the power to move and potentially fully manipulate that which surrounds them. if their mutation is honed, the user may develop the capability to lift and manipulate fellow beings, including themselves. expert users may even obtain the power of flight. despite its great advantages, the consequences of poorly trained telekinesis may be dire, and users are often plagued with accidental destruction of that which surrounds them before they properly train their ability.
