talking to sawyer made me think about how, growing up mostly isolated and seeing the world with views mostly shaped by flemeth's tales, morrigan's idea of marriage is of something very... transactional. not at all love related, not entailing any sort of partnership.

morrigan dragon age.. being loved and cherished...

i just think it could've been neat if kieran dragon age kept the god in his head instead of flemythal taking the fragment. and also that his important destiny or whatever that morrigan can mention in dai was something akin to rook in the sense of leading the effort to save the world etc

thinking about it and actually it may be more likely kieran was born in the crossroads than orlais proper..

morrigan is a vivienne hater. loves to piss her off. delighted to make her mad.

i think one think that never changes is that morrigan is very averse to touch when it comes to most people. any kind of touching (she complains about handshakes in dao and how it's unnecessary to touch her hand for a greeting, for one). which is not to ay she's averse to every sort of touch always, but she is particular about it. kieran is the only one she ever volunteers hugs to, and she'll kiss his forehead and hold his hand; she's a lot more open to contact with her son. she does enjoy being kissed and held by a lover, she can enjoy hugging a friend, but i do believe she would not always be open to it. which has nothing to do at all with how much she loves someone, and is entirely about how she feels, and while her level of comfort is far higher the closest she is to someone, she can be particular about physcal contact.

the way morrigan stammers when you thank her for helping after the tower of ishal.... the way she simply doesn't really know how to accept that immediately and says she did very little as to suggest you shouldn't be thanking her...

i've seen the post about the potential cures and am once again thinking about the fact morrigan would try to find a cure for a lover or a friend and that with her knowledge of ancient magic and willingness to use blood magic when it suits her she would be able to find a way to cure her warden. not every warden, but the one that matters to her.
