“And who’s this beauty?” Ten is eyeing your electric guitar, Twelve.
Twelve wasn’t honestly paying much attention. Both at what was going on, and the fact that Ten had been eyeing everything in the large room. It wasn’t unlike himself to not know what was happening- seeing as he had slightly vague memories about this, but thanks to his previous train of thought the last regeneration remembering anything was sometimes hard. Looking up from the repairs he was doing on his own little device he was needing for later, once he realized what Ten was talking about, there was a drastic change in attitude.
Jumping up from his spot, and half running - half waddling over to where his guitar and Ten were, he stood in between them. Was he slightly glaring? Absolutely. The old man was territorial over his things, and that included his precious guitar.
❝ No one you know. Two Rules, one of which is don’t touch her. Or even look at her, you might mess something up. Got it? Good. ❞
Giving him a side eye, Twelve gently put on the guitar strap, and held the instrument in his hands carefully. For being hundreds if not over at least a thousand years older than the other, he certainly was a lot more childish.

One would think such a grumpy, almost casually spoken statement would be brushed aside with ease, but the Doctor paid attention to words as much as he used them. The loss of Donna was still fresh in his mind, and to statements like that, he was volatile. He might’ve measured it up to spite until he decided to move back to the topic at hand. To distract himself -- and as always, Ten was animated as he was awkwardly upbeat. The moment was gone as quickly as it came.
❝ Alllllll right then, ❞ Ten’s tone was just a tad judgemental at the other’s response, hands dug into his pockets as he plodded a few steps away awkwardly. Sure, yeah, maybe he’d expected SOME sentiment. Guitars were awesome, and often home of fond memories ( with the exception of occasional sadness / MOURNING ). He himself even fancied some good acoustic every now and then. But a reaction like this was a tiny bit... overboard. Although could he REALLY judge...? After all, in some form or another, this WAS going to be him, right...? ...then again, Eleven forgot --
