Darkness

“They say drinking alone’s no fun. You wanna join me?” The quietness of the park was disconcerting to say the absolute least. And so, when the monrail suddenly revved to life, Mimi was among the first to hop on and let it take her wherever the ghostly device wanted. That place ended up being The Animal Kingdom, and just beside said park gate was a restaurant called ‘The Rainforest Cafe’ -- a couple dates there with random other employees had Mimi remembering it had a rather top-notch drink selection. No point passing it up, she figured. And why drink alone?

Tiana laughed, clapping her hands together lightly, “She’s beautiful, Lottie. Ya got good taste. This girl’s a cook just like me. Even works in a restaurant and everythin’” She said happily, looking her new vessel over, “You introduce yourself to her yet?”

As much as she didn’t want to drop the chair, Mimi let it go and caught the water bottle that came flying at her. No sooner had she done that did a few more of the animatronics jump at her and she sprayed them with water, causing them to spark and writhe before falling over. It took her almost no time to get through the bottle though, and soon she was back to wielding her chair as if her life depended on it, “All you found was water bottles, Freddie?” She questioned, not intentionally skeptical about it, but considering the situation, she felt entitled to be a little critical.

Tiana sighed, “Sure hope so. Hope they found bodies to hide out inside of too--speakin’ o’ which, Lottie, I’m surprised you did find yourself a little blonde for yourself. I tried to find someone who looked a lot like me--this was ‘bout as close as I could get.”

"Nothin’ yet, and I hope it stay sthat way. We’ve gotta buckle down and stick together so we can figure out what the heck’s goin’.” Tiana pulled away, "Lottie, you haven’t seen Naveen have ya? Or Louis?”

“Fuck - !” She hissed. Getting distracted for just the smallest second resulted in one of the animatronics jumping onto the very chair Mimi was swinging and scare her. At this point, the girl was running on adrenaline as she swung it off and decided to give Freddie a chance to get in. She backed up further into the restaurant, causing the little monsters to come after her, “Freddie, go in the kitchen and get as much water as you can -- it’s the only thing that’ll stop these things or they’re just going to keep getting back up!”

Mimi had always hated the Small World ride. With a deep passion that burned hotter than the sun. And this madness was by no means helping that. Animatronics in general were not her favorite thing, and them coming to life and chasing her across Fantasyland certainly wasn’t helping. She wasn’t sure how many there were--4? 8? 20? It felt like 20 as she passed through the doors of the “Be Our Guest” restaurant and grabbed the nearest chair she could find, whirling around to swing and knock back the monstrous little animatronics that had been chasing her, “This is not how I want to die!” She swung again, but more seemed to be coming in. Outside the door she caught sight of a familiar face, and suddenly things seemed a lot less grim, “Freddie...Freddie!” ( @frcddieolscn )

Tiana rolled her eyes and approached the girl, giving her a tight squeeze, “You’ve got a real special way of lookin’ at things, you know that?” She couldn’t help but smile though, “I can barely put into words how happy I am to know you’re safe, Lottie.”

Tiana rolled her eyes. She’d wasted no time getting accustomed to her hopefully temporary vessel. And not to long after that did she stumble across her old friend, “Lottie, if the pig’s dead, I can promise you it ain’t a happy.”
