Setting up my new journal is making me really excited to start 2016. I’m hoping that this year will be better than 2015 (which was a roller coaster of highs and lows for me) and that I’m going to stay motivated and organised.

So I reached 10K a few weeks ago (which is absolutely crazy!!!!!!) and I promised myself I would do a giveaway but it just took a while to organise, so here it finally is!! It’s also my blog’s one year (ish) anniversary AND it’s Valentine’s Day so gotta show some love, right?!

18.02.2016 - Exams Results

I know for many of you these results won’t be that exciting; they’re like two B’s (in Computer Science and IT for Business), one B+ (in Maths) and a A- (in Business Administration and Technical English) or something.

But I’m so happy about these results because:

- I thought that I would have failed for sure at least 2 or 3 exams - I also wanted to drop some exams I believed I’d failed. - it was difficult studying in a foreign language (I’m Italian but I study in Germany), I know, it was my choice, but however, it wasn’t that easy. - It was my first semester.

and

- I accepted the marks as they are. They’re not perfect, I could have done better and so on, but accepting these marks I somewhat accepted myself. - I never put the marks before my sleeping schedule or my social life. - I found my balance. - I studied much but took breaks and had an extra college life (thing that I never thought it was possible in high school) - I got healthier grades (because I didn’t stress me too much or pushed my mental and physical health)

So I didn’t just want you to know my grades. I’m not that egocentric; I actually wanted you to understand this:

Learn, study, exercise, sleep, eat, love,  get good grades and bad ones, try to get better but remember that you and your mental and physical health should be the most important things to yourself.

hi hi ! so obviously getting enough sleep is one of the most important parts of doing well in school - it allows our brain and body to recuperate, ready to process and retain information more effectively the next day.

[18/100 days of productivity]

i know this is a risky post but w/e, i don’t care. 

i’ve seen many posts that go like “studyblr isnt abt the pretty stationery, moleskines or aesthetics!! u can be a great studyblr w/o expensive stuff!!!! :——–)” and that’s great, honestly. and i want to believe that, but no matter how much i try, i just can’t. i can’t believe that there’s ‘equality’ in our community when people don’t get notes/followers because their posts aren’t as aesthetically pleasing as others, or they don’t have a pretty icon because they aren’t skilled in photoshop, or their theme doesn’t look a certain way and so on!! maybe someone (like me) doesn’t have an iphone or a samsung galaxy or a professional camera and they can’t take pictures of their messy and sloppy notes writen with a 1$ pen, and when they do they tag it with every single studyblr tag they can think of hoping for 10 notes and a follower they can talk to!!! maybe someone (like me) keeps feeling worthless when seeing those posts that say “it doesn’t matter!! u just have to study to be a studyblr :-)” because they don’t get enough recognition simply because they can’t afford all the pretty stationery, moleskine/other expensive notebook, a fancy backpack, etc, etc!!!
