REMEMBER ME

“Are you following me?”

“Hey, watch where you’re going.”

“You look vaguely familiar…” 

“I don’t know who you are but you don’t strike me as the trustworthy type.”

“I don’t know what you want but you’d better fuck off before I make you.”

“Sorry but I’m new around here, would you mind giving me pointers?”

“Strange to see a fresh face around here.”

“Hey you. It’s dangerous to be walking around here, you should leave.”

“Do you need help with that?”

“Do you believe in love at first sight or should I walk by again?”

“Do I know you? Cause you look a lot like my next girlfriend/boyfriend.”

“See my friends over there? They wanna to know if you think I’m cute.

“Hey handsome/beautiful.”

“You might be new, but you’re looking at the top dog around here.”

“Sorry but I’m not interested in your offer.”

“Are you as cold as you seem or do you always walk around like you own the place?”

“What’s wrong? You look like you’ve seen a ghost.”

“The answer is no by the way, to whatever you’re about to say.”

“Don’t bother, I’m busy.”

“No no no, this can’t be right. You shouldn’t be here.”

“It’s you, isn’t it?”

“Happy to see me again?”

“It’s been so long since we’ve last parted, hm? We have some catching up to do.”

“You looking to start a fight or something?”

“Did you think I wouldn’t notice you watching me?”

“Us meeting wasn’t an accident.”

“Hey hey, no need for that I’d just like to talk.”

“Why the hostility? Do you treat every stranger this way?”

“I see no one has ever bothered to teach you manners.”

“Come with me, no time to explain!”

“Look, you’re in danger. You need to do as I say.”

“Are these guys bothering you?”

“Hey, leave him/her alone!”

“You look tired. Need a ride?”

“Shit shit, are you okay?!”

“Give me your belongings and you won’t get hurt. Sound fair?”

“Well look what the cat dragged in.”

“Never thought I’d see your face again.”

“Are you drunk? Hey, you can’t be walking around like that, be careful!”

“You look like bad news….”

“I hope I’m not being too straightforward, but are you single?”

      Tadashi’s eyes narrow as he looks up at the other.       Why are you asking? He thinks suspiciously. What       do you get out of bringing up things I don’t want to       remember anymore? Tadashi doesn’t want to think of       things that are gone. He’ll never get his brother back, so       thinking about Hiro won’t do any good– it will only hurt him. 

                        Tadashi doesn’t want to think about it.                         Tadashi just wants to move on,                         but he can’t. He wonders if telling this doppelganger                         about it will make it stop for awhile.

      “He died a couple years ago.       Not long before that whole thing       happened with Krei.”

No exact date or number of years, but that was alright. It wasn’t as if he knew the exact date of when he had been subjected to a fire. Still Hiro’s head is working out the possibility as he ran a hand through his hair. His eyes snapped shut for a brief moment as data flew before the to hide the split second of glowing blue. The elder focused solely on information of Krei and what happened.

It would fit was the conclusion he came to. Then came up the name. The name of who he was before and his eyes opened rapidly as he swallowed, focusing on processing that.

“Hiro Hamada...” The words weren’t even meant to fall from his lips as he pressed the hand in his hair to the side of his head, tilting it to the point in which his shirt shifted to reveal the burn scars creeping over his neck from under the material.

Images flashed with the name, something familiar in a way that a silhouette is through a warped window, but only vague and pressing against the glass gets him nowhere besides watching as it all seemed to fade away.

      Tadashi looks up at the taller male, just staring for a moment. Everything about the person before him looked like Hiro, from head to toe. Even the voice was the same, && it hurt Tadashi to think of it. His brother– “I’ll be right back,” but you never came back, you left me alone– gone, gone, gone, && then here came this doppelganger, a stranger Tadashi didn’t know at all.

      “You look… exactly like him.”

His gaze falls to the ground, emotions battling with apathy as questions circle his mind. Hiro knows that the other could be speaking of him --- his large gap in memories, the black hole of nothingness where he simply can tell something once was is enough for him to realize that. It’s strange. He always thought that whoever he use to be had been forgotten and hadn’t been missed. Now that he’s being faced with the possibility that he’s been wrong, Hiro isn’t sure what he should do.

“..... When did he die?”

      Tadashi doesn’t hesitate any longer, crawling under the covers with Hiro && clinging to his brother like a spider monkey. 

With light amusement, Hiro just lets himself slide further under the covers and reaches a hand up to ruffle Tadashi’s hair.
