Ok, so, I'm generally seen as a nice, especially polite person, i would say. Especially when eating. I take small bites, eat slowly and carefully, and most of all, politely.
I only say this because of the one exception. Soup. Nearly any soup. I lose all sense of self-control. I get the largest bowl, fill it to the complete brim, and utterly decimate it. I mourn that which drips onto me, or the table, but not before I've already put yet another spoonful into my mouth. After i polish off that bowl, i return for another. I eat in a frenzy, a craze - a fugue state. Spoon after spoon, the delectable and sweet ichor. This is why prometheus gave fire to mortals, so we may experience the utter joy of the pinnacle of cooking. Soon, that bowl too has naught but perished, under the steel of my weapon. Out of pure hubris, i return yet once more to get a bowl. This final bowl is the best, the slowest, the one where you reflect. You taste it, out of the craze, and admire it. Savory, salty, creamy. All the ingredients within make a perfect harmony in your mouth. Slow, meticulous spoonfuls until eventually it comes to an end. Your bowl is empty. Your stomach is full, bloated. All is well.
If I was a wizard in some fantasy world. I know I would be creating soup based spells.
Catch me conjuring soup fueled by the love in my heart for it.

SOUP soup Break SOUP
relax... SOUP taste
a game that uses soup as a mechanic?!
On today's episode of 'holy fuck this game I found rules', I found something that combines two of my favourite things: ttrpgs & soup!
good soup by Jordan Dube is a gm-less game for 2-5 players, with pretty light rules, and do determine the outcome of an action, you get a spoonful of the soup that you need to play the game (unless you just use dice like a sad soupless person) and how many bits you have in that spoonful determine the outcome of your action.
beyond this soup mechanic (which I am IN LOVE WITH), you play as creatures in a magical forest, using soup recipes passed down for generations and the magic soup bowl at the centre of the forest, to heal folks who find their way to you. The folks in need of soup come from a range of worlds/genres, including hot goose, popstar, computer virus, and more!
did I mention there's a recipe for lamb stew in the game?
check out good soup here:
Play as woodland creatures gathering ingredients to make soup!
📺 The Golden Girls (1988)
drinking soup turns me into and old woman in an old house slurping the dregs of her soup in front of the dying embers of her hearth and if that old woman wants to smack her lips loudly and slurp who am i to stop her
Real shit

There's soup dedicated accounts on Tumblr!?
What more could someone want
I consider myself a real hater but sometimes you really do go too far with haterism. once I had to break mutuals with someone bc they hated the entire art form of poetry and the final straw was when they started hateposting about soup. The food
An entirely valid reason to sever ties, in my completely neutral and unbiased opinion.
San Francisco the city of one thousand soups how I love you so.
Heirloom tomato soup from an organic hippies garden. 42 hour ramen broth from a retired Japanese businessman. Sizzling stone pot jjigae from somebody’s haelmoni. Homey menudo from another’s abuela. Hot pot extra spicy shared with friends. Seafood soup in a crisp sourdough bread bowl. Thai soups and Chinese soups and a ladle to share them with. Clear soups and cream of soups. Pho and bisque and a foggy breeze to enjoy them in year round.
Soup that fills in all the cracks of my soul and warms me to my bones. This is the best place on earth for soup lovers. I love the bay arean passion for soup. I will enjoy them all. I love sf soup culture
We talk very little about soup. And I think soup is very, very important.

Flashbacks to the time I brought a can of soup and a can opener to school for lunch and nothing else. I didn't even bring my lunch box. I just shoved them both into my backpack. What was I doing
I was having a rough week, and this was so cathartic to stitch. My favorite bits were the tiny eyeball and the bay leaf. Ya gotta have a bay leaf in the soup, you know?
