i like caitlyn in season one. however, i believe that in season two, the storywriters took the truth and twisted it to make it seem as if i was willing to go along with caitlyn while she gassed all of zaun, killed my people, threatened to kill a child, and became a fascist. i disagree with that. s1 caitlyn, come home. the kids miss you.
Caitlyn from S2 is the same Caitlyn from S1.
A lot of Caitlyn actions in this season was hunting down Jinx. ANd her dead set focus on hunting Jinx led to her making bad choices.
On top of that her using "The Grey" only aimed at the Chem-baron's a group of criminal mob bosses. So its a bit exaggerative to say that she gassed all of Zaun.
caitlyn from s2 is NOT the same caitlyn from s1. my caitlyn was kind, listened to zaunites without threatening to shoot them (the stark difference between when she talks to huck in s1 and when she talks to smeechâs man in s2 is all you need to see that), and really cared about making piltover better.
in s2, she became another corrupt cop under the guise of âhunting jinxâ. or are we forgetting the repeated police brutality and manipulation and threatening? and whatever you want to say about the grey, itâs a toxic gas. doesnât matter who it was aimed at. stop defending her blindly and just admit that her s1 character was completely different.

i am vi from arcane season one. actually, my name is vi lanes, and i am the character that arcane's vi is based off of. in season one, the story was largely accurate to my life, but in season two, their need for drama led to the writers misconstruing who i am as a person.

I take no joy in fair-weather fans hating on a show I genuinely love. These characters were beautifully written and animated gorgeously but it seems that many cannot seem to see beyond black & white thinking. Which is a shame.
Having that kind of mindset keeps many from growing into better people because they dont allow others (or themselves) to make mistakes.
Evil isnt just "doing bad things", it is a lack of empathy.

Beautifully written? My guy, the writers themselves admitted that they got bored of Vi and werenât interested in her and other writers have admitted to adding drama for dramaâs sake. She can make mistakes, but those mistakes still come with consequences. Realistically, her consequence would be losing Vi among many others. She definitely deserves death for what she did to the undercity (even the writer has called her unforgivable) Sorry, in the real world, you donât make mistakes without punishment and consequences.
Caitlyn does lack empathy. Why donât think she calls Zauniteâs animals? Why do you think she gasses them indiscriminately? Why do you think she oppresses them? Why do you think she hits Vi? Because she doesnât have empathy for Zaunites. She says it plain for you.

You do realize there was a cut out scene of cait literally forcing herself to hold back tears? Thereâs a storyboard, she DID care. Netflix cut episode times down and that in turn caused plot to be rushed and scenes that add a lot of important context and depth to characters and their relationships to be cut. Again this is all publicly available knowledge. The only reason Caitvi is as shit as it is was because of Netflix cutting time of episodes down.
