PERSEVERANCE.

                   “hey, it tastes good! what kind is this?”

                this day just kept getting better! it was getting harder to contain his excitement, but could he help it? it’s an entire day dedicated to him! “really?? t-thank you, seiji-senpai! that’s very generous of you!”

                  “people ... are trying to cosplay me ??”

                   “h-hey!--- ” he KNEW it was too good to be true that he’d get off the hook, but he was optimistic since it was his birthday. but this SEEMED so childish, then again it was his senpai we were talking about.

                “thank you, ueda-senpai! i’m sure they’ll taste wonderful!”

                  “THANK YOU, TENDOU-SENPAI!” they remembered? they really did treasure their future ace after all, and nothing made tsutomu happier than that.

                 tsutomu was just MINDING his own business, enjoying the nice day but then all of a sudden. “ACK!— “ what? why is he being ASSAULTED with meat? with a scowl he rubs the bump atop his head, looking at the other in anger. “w-what is your problem? watch where you swing that CRAZY thing!”

                  “it’s okay when i’m not panting like a DOG by the end of it.” he didn’t dare COMPLAIN in front of the coach, though. that brought nothing but misfortune. 

                   “i’d rather run one hundred laps AROUND the school, TWICE! then to tease someone!”

                    “well, mocking someone just to get a raise outta them SHOULDN’T be a form of entertainment.” frankly, its quite rude and horrible to hurt someone’s feelings for personal gain, even if it’s just teasing. 

                 !!! a compliment from senpai, of course he’ll take it. “you really think so? thanks, tendou-senpai!”

                 “w-why does it MATTER if she does or not? – quit MOCKING me!” … alright, so people did lie, but tsutomu knew deep in his heart that he was a star, and that feeling could NEVER be taken away by a few HURTFUL words. 

                    “what? h-hey my mother would NEVER lie to me! or my teammates! i am such a star!” lets just pretend they’ve called him a star for now. but seriously he’s offended, why was she so mean for no reason?

                  “ah! hello, ueda-senpai!” tsutomu GREETS with an enthusiastic smile as he peeks his head through the gymnasium, noticing how she was doing some clean up the self-proclaimed ace saw it fit to help ASSIST her. fully walking into the building he picks up a few volleyballs in his arms to START out with. “here let me help, two is BETTER than one after all!”

                     like for a starter from this ball of sunshine !
